I often have trouble getting powershell and other scripts to work via automated tasks. I can run them directly on the server or workstation and they work just fine, but then I run into trouble when running it as a task.
The frustration is that it takes a while to run the tasks through the dashboard, so you end up running and waiting. Then it errors out so you come back to it, modify your script or config, run it again... and wait again. This process repeats until you get it right.
It would be MUCH nicer to login to the machine, open the advanced monitoring agent, and have an option to test a script. You could paste your code in, add any CLI arguments needed and test running it immediately. This would give instant feedback, and if it fails, provide a log of the failure reason.
This would be similar to how SNMP checks can be tested via the monitoring agent now.
