It would be amazing to have powershell access via the tools menu. It would make so many more things able to be done behind the scenes.
To borrow a feature from mspconnect; full event log viewing in direct support would be very useful.
What: Separate FQDN and IP address into separate fields from the Network Address field. Why: Because I want to be able to see both at the same time from the All Devices tab, export the All Devices tab easily and we frequently need both. I don't particularly need the Discovered Name to be as prominent because if the PC name changes, this field because kinda useless. Who will benefit: My support desk, senior engineers ...more »
I would like to see an audit trail for any action performed by an N-Central user. There have been cases in the past where a device was placed in downtime, a threshold adjusted or a device deleted and we needed to know when and which user performed the action.
Many other MSP tools provide a small preview of the screen before committing to connect to the end users PC. This would be especially helpful with N-Central as you can not see if the user is active or inactive (Kaseya does this).
AV Defender is currently available for the Windows platform, however, there is no centralized AV for Mac devices.
We need something like SolarWinds Network Topology Mapper built into NCentral. We get new clients and it would be very beneficial and efficient to be able to get topology map built from inside NCentral. Right now $1500 per client is very expensive. We just need something basic to be able to present a visual of the network/devices. But it needs to be reasonably priced.
Here's an oldie but a goodie; At present the metrics within filters are all treated individually so application name = "abc" and application version = "1.2.3" will find any device that has any applications named "abc" and any application with a version of "1.2.3". Whereas if the filter had an option to be inclusive, then it would only show the devices that have an application called "abc" with a version of "1.2.3". ...more »
I would like N-Central to include the ability to filter based on operating system version. Windows 10 version 1511 is reaching EOL on October 10th, 2017. In order to help clients identify what systems needed to be upgraded, I was going to create a new Filter for Windows 10 machines running version 1511 (version 10.0.10586) However, the filtering rules currently don't allow the ability to filter on operating system ...more »
When AV Defender fails to complete a scan task(Puts subsequent scans in "Pending") or when an End-user complains about Scan performance. There needs to be a way to stop a Scan through the N-Central UI.
One of the main AV Status tickets we always get is related to no scan in over 30 days.
It would be great if we could set the Self Healing action to run a quick scan (or full scan) before a ticket is created.
This would eliminate many tickets from being created and save our technicians time.
The Add Task drop down menu in the device details page has the update asset info option but the Add Task menu from the All Devices view does not. sometimes we need to update asset info on multiple devices and it would be nice to do a mass push of this task instead of having to click into each device and set it up.
We have some clients that have a lot of tablets or laptops that are somewhat infrequently used. Despite our attempts at running multiple quick scans a day, including some during business hours, these devices are frequently not on during the time of the scheduled task. It appears that there used to be a command line scanner in BitDefender. I opened a ticket with N-central support and was told that the only way to do a ...more »
The ability to pre-define CDP's as dropdrop options (or radio buttons, yes/no, etc). So when someone goes to change a CDP on a device, they're presented with the only available options and don't have to refer to external documentation (also: if perhaps there could be the additional comment field that allows a description of what the CDP option does). These drop-down CDPs will need to be editable after the fact, in ...more »
So the probe is great when your client has a machine that's on 24 x 7 (such as a server as opposed to a workstation) but with many clients going to completely cloud-based environments, it can become a bit more difficult to dedicate resources to a probe machine. raspberry pi units all in including storage cost around $60-$70, and are perfect to act as a probe unit that can be put at a customer site in a network room, ...more »
