MSP Anywhere really needs TRUE multi Monitor support, with the ability to break out multiple remote monitors into separate windows (so you can see both remote monitors at the same time, without having to flip back and forth) This idea/feature request was posted over a year ago: http://ideas.solarwindsmsp.com/a/dtd/MSP-Anywhere-Multi-Monitor-support/259334-4178 And for some reason is marked as "completed" when the functionality ...more »
Solarwinds Take Control
When 'Take Control'-ing to multiple devices through N-Central, they should merge windows and have multiple tabs that can be flicked through with keyboard shortcut CTRL + Tab (like google chrome) instead of having multiple Windows.
We need Linux support! Linux is gaining market share and we need to support our clients who use Ubuntu! Especially Ubuntu v18!
When using take control,
most of the time i wil get lower resolutions then the maximum a VM or server can output.
would be fun if you could have a function that automaticly forces maximum resolution on the session
We give some clients access to their machines through our NCentral dashboard. Take Control has way too many administrative features for them to use and cause damage. We would like to be able to limit the functionality, in a big way, by user.
Change the text of the Indication the end user gets when machine is being remotely controlled prompted in the right corner,
When a Take Control chat window is popped out of the corner there is a place for the technician's picture. Currently this picture is not able to be set with Take Control through N-Central.
It'd be nice if the picture was able to be set, or if the blank spot was not there in the N-Central version of Take Control so it does not appear to clients that we have lazily not configured it.
Add the option to auto record a session when an engineer connects to a workstation or server. We are wanting to use these recordings to: Add to our knowledge base Training Allow engineers to search for how to articles CYA for those hard conversations with a customer who insists you did or did not make a change Need the ability edit where the sessions are stored. Would like options for onedrive, sharepoint, egnyte, ...more »
As a user of MSP N-Central, we would like to use MSP Anywhere with on-premise servers for security, privacy and performance purposes. So no connection will be made to ncentral servers for this function.
A competitor is already doing this, Bomgar (https://www.bomgar.com/remote-support)
Thank you !
Mac has a Microsoft RDP Viewer available on the AppStore:
It would be great to have the ability to RDP from a Mac device to a Windows device through MSP Anywhere RDP Tunneling.
There should be an option to integrate Take Control with a ticketing system so that a ticket will automatically be created when a customer submits a support request.
If there is an active remote session take console should not run the auto updates and should postpone the upgrade until after the session is closed.
This morning, May 6th 2019, upgrades disconnected active remote sessions locking the remote computes (per our configs) and causing general issues with supporting clients in a timely manor. This is an easy thing to prevent with proper checks in the update code. .
Similarly to the options available under Interactions> Shared Clipboard, we would like to have a way to change the default of Interactions> Clear Clipboard when the Disabled Session Ends to any of the other three values so that the definition persists between sessions.
It would be beneficial if Take Control standalone and the Take Control MSP Anywhere feature (from SolarWinds RMM) had more integration between each other, specially when it comes to remote support session history and reporting overall.
The session history in RMM is more appealing than the Take Control standalone one.
The grey bars at the top and bottom of Take Control waste 20%+ percent of the screen. Screen real estate when remoting is incredibly precious given the large form at of Windows 2012 and Windows 10. I've never seen another remote support software that burns visual space in this way. Consider the whole purpose of remote control is seeing the visual space of the end device. Remote Control is one of the single most important ...more »
