We need a way to apply a template to a workstation AFTER install time. I have over 100 workstations, with different states of services and checks. I don't want to manually delete all the checks, and then add them back one at a time. I would like to take the current install template and just 'push' it to a current workstation. May I suggest that we have an option to manually update our MAV clients? I have a new client that is MAV only, so every day when the included MAV Update check (DSC) comes in, it says it's out of date by at least one day. It's rather annoying to have to re-run a DSC on each workstation every time the screen shows the check failed. All, It is essential that we be able to clear multiple checks on multiple machines with the same notes. We just had a google chrome patch fail across about 50 machines over two sites. I would love to be able to select all the machines, check the box to clear the check then input "re-authorized patch to install" in ALL the clear check dialogue box. Recently had a customer who has had frequent BSOD but GFI max is reporting that the machine is fine. can a check be added to check for either dump reports or the relevant error. As the normal critical event logs report a lot else.
When clearing checks for sites, the time it takes to refresh is slowing us down a great deal. We have over 80 sites under one client with 5400 PCs today, going up to 7200 in the coming weeks. When I'm in a site and clear a check, the entire client list refreshes and takes too long to clear checks in that site. Would prefer to clear the check, then manually refresh the client list to clear the items.
When installing an agent without an installation template (set to OFF), the agent will auto-discover all the checks on the installed machine. If installing an agent with an installation template of "asset tracking only", the program does not add any checks. 24/7 Checks should have a time window (start and stop times). WHEN a check is applied is as important as WHAT it is checking.
Things change. It may be that your server behaves differently during a single period of the day... or it may be several profiles for different parts of the day. Either way, if each check had a time element, the flexibility to write appropriate checks would be handled.
Create a check and add it to more than one system, instead of having to create it on each system, one-by-one.
It should be possible to copy checks from one device to another.
There are cases where a large number of devices need a check that already exists on a device. Instead of having to create the check on the devices, it would be faster (and much less error-prone) to *copy* the check.
It would be valuable to have 3 statuses for checks rather than 2.
GREEN ALERT - all is well
YELLOW ALERT - informational alert
Failed Login check shows 9 login attempts
MAV finds cookies
RED ALERT - severe alert
Failed Login check shows 6k login attempts
MAV finds Trojan
