Do not display password for ESXi host script check

I am very happy that GFI has now implemented predefined script checks for ESXi hosts but do not like the fact that when you create them, the username and password used are displayed in plain text in the dashboard, Especially as when you enter the password its starred out! And (just discovered) email error reports contain the password as plain text! Our client that have view only dashboard access may not approve of this ...more »

VMWare ESX5 Hardware Disk checks

Since ESX5 we cant look at a host to determine hardware status such as a custoemrs failed disk. I know there are some script checks, but being able to qery the status of a disk underneath a raid card is missing. Currently if we deploy a VMWare ESX version 5 server, we have no way of having any visability of the health of the underlying disks - either with SNMP (which we could with ESX v4) or a script check. Could someone ...more »

Alert Suppression for scripts - seperate option for DSC and 24x7

The first check (for backup) I want to be alerted immediately as it only runs once per day, ...more »

Script testing via advanced monitoring agent

I often have trouble getting powershell and other scripts to work via automated tasks. I can run them directly on the server or workstation and they work just fine, but then I run into trouble when running it as a task. The frustration is that it takes a while to run the tasks through the dashboard, so you end up running and waiting. Then it errors out so you come back to it, modify your script or config, run it again... ...more »

No SMS alert on script check timeout

Slightly different way to get around this issue would be to add a "Send SMS on script timeout" checkbox on the Alert Threshold window. Honestly, I don't want an SMS every time a script times out. Mockup attached. -- Original description -- When a script check fails due to the script timing out rather than an actual error condition, it would be nice if the SMS alert would mention that. As is, I have to go verify an error ...more »
