The remote tools process manager is missing one important item that is in the actual Windows process manager - the actual total number of processes running.
I thought it would be a good idea to report on computers sorted by the last contacted date. If have issues currently over the days patched detail. But it would be good for our ISO27k to report by last contacted..
Currently, when a web protection allowance, like bandwidth used, is met, the email received does not include any details, just a generic message stating "WP Category Counter Notification". It would be nice to know what happened without logging into the console for details.
Would love to see a web control histroy for websites and what times they were accessed. Right now looking at an individual computer all it shows is last time a website was accessed which is useless on shared computers and there is no way to view browsing history. Would love to see something along the lines of showing each time a site was accessed or a timeframe, example Netflix was being accessed from 8:14 til 10:13. ...more »
We need to get alarms on high cpu, disk and memory use in controlnow.
I would really like to see a way to send the agent to a customer so that they can install it but they have to enter a unique key to install and once they install they see a progress bar to show something is being done. This is how I could see it working 1. Tech creates a new server/computer account request under a company. 2. The system generates a unique key that is then sent to a user 3. The user opens the installer ...more »
Would be good to be able to sort the event screen via computer name
When going through events etc, when you click on a client it takes you away from the event screen (Filtered etc)
So every time you go to check on something you have to refilter
We need the ability to be able to schedule the actual scan of computers for updates. As this affects system performance and most of the time occurs not long after computer start up.
Please allow us to add a Check for Blocked Malware Sites for WebProtection in the DSC. If blocked>x then Alarm, allow us to set the x per device.
Create a check and add it to more than one system, instead of having to create it on each system, one-by-one.
We had a close call with CryptoLocker yesterday, as mentioned in the news lately. The threat is opened by the client via email. : http://www.smh.com.au/it-pro/security-it/fake-speeding-fines-make-cryptolocker-lock-up-australian-files-20141030-11egcy.html Should GFI Cloud be able to prevent this ransomware? And stop it, or at least detect it? Or is there another product we should have to assist in threats like this? ...more »
Most of all of GFI's communication with GFI is encrypted with the exception of the SOAP request/POST heartbeat to the GFI server. This contains very valuable information such as logged in user name, host name, OS version, reboot status, domain. From a security standpoint this is VERY valuable information that should not be broadcasted and is a foot hold for MITM attacks and/or reconnaissance phases of an attack. The ...more »
When Microsoft re-releases a patch/update, the "Release date" for it needs to be updated to the correct date in the console. A few examples: 1) KB2952664 has been re-released quite a few times now from MS, but the release date in the cloud console still shows as "22-Apr-2014". 2) An August 2014 update, KB2975719, that had to be pulled and re-released in September. The release date is still from the original patch ...more »
I understand Remote Background Management (Remote Tools) doesn't support interactive commands. However, it would be good to be able to have interactive support so commands can be paused for display per page (eg. dir /p, type file | more) or interrupted with CTRL-C. And even before interactive support can the Remote Tools such as Command Line window have a scrollbar as a number of commands generate more than a page of ...more »
