We have a small list of OID's we'd like to have added to the back-end of our NCentral server to the discovery process of Ncentral. These OID's are for Ruckus Wireless devices. The idea is that in discovery, these devices will return a Make/Model data that is associated with the OID and be listed within the Device Asset data. We have 900 filters. It would be nice to have a search box where I could type in a word and it would show only filters containing those characters. Similar to how you can type in a device name under all devices and it will display the results. We have the drop down that lets you select "All Visible Filters" and such, but it would be far more useful to have search capabilities. Even the "Filter" button that is shown ...more »
In rolling out N-central, I had planned to make use of the external ID fields for filters but found that the external ID set at the customer level is not equal to the external ID at the site level. Even worse, if a value is set at the customer level for external ID, filtering won't include devices at the site level unless they too have external ID filled out. I have found (especially with Windows 10/Windows Server 2016 server devices), that the following patches will be downloaded into the Agent Patch Cache (C:\Program Files (x86)\N-able Technologies\Patch Management\archive\): - Patches that have been set to "Approved for Install" which are not yet installed, and are superseded by other another patch that is also in the list of "Approved for Install" and "Not Installed" list. ...more »
Its possible to filter by ESXI devices, however its not possible to filter by the version.
In N-central appears the OS Version has (for example) "VMware ESXi 5.0.0 build-914586" but since VMware/ESXi is an hypervisor, when a OS filter is created there isn't a option to filter by version.
it would useful to have custom device information be populated by an AMP script.
So for example we have a specific asset tag which is entered into the registry. We would like to be able to obtain this via AMP script and then update the custom asset information with it.
Then it would be handy to filter by the custom asset information.
It would be extremely helpful to include Enterprise Next-Gen antivirus packages checking (like SentinelOne, Cylance) into the AV Status script, or include another mechanism for "checking it" for status within N-Central
Hello, I am trying to create a filter to list the devices where a specific patch is not installed. I tried the following: Filter by Applicaiton -> Patch Installed (KB Number) -> Does Not Contain -> 4048958 (or KB4048958), but it did not work I was advised by Solarwinds technician (ticket 00906948) that such option does not exist. The office365 create user has all of this and it would be useful if the create ad user object had the same information in order to create AD accounts that are not synced to Office 365.
Right now there is no good or easy distinction between missing patches which are approved and failed installations of the approved patches. Besides that the monitoring has a constant failed patch status, due to limitations in the service templates and thresholds. Besides that.
