We would like to see Azure support reintegrated into Backup & Recovery
They may have been rarely used before but more and more people now are moving to the cloud and we have customers looking to host all their systems and servers on the cloud. We would like to continue using Backup & Recovery to protect our customers and we need it to support Azure.
Raised on behalf of Fancit B.V. SolarWinds Backup doesn't currently support restoring directly to a KVM Hypervisor target; users must instead restore the device to a VHDX or VMDK via Virtual Disaster Recovery. In some cases (such as the rental of Virtual Private Servers), direct access may also not be available to the KVM Hypervisor platform; it would be of great help if Backup was still able to support restoration ...more »
We have clients who have requested reports on data usage, retention, schedule, sources and latest status. There does not appear to be a current report like this.
The console shows the device completed backup incorrectly as it shows it is over 48 despite the fact that it completed a backup successfully - the date shown should reflect that the backup completed on the date that it did and at the same time there should be something showing that the remote sync date is perhaps not current. I have set their systems to backup multiple times each, because tech support had no resolution and wasn't interested in investigating. We really need a setting ...more »
We're frequently encountering errors with vmware quiescing. For some of our VMs, quiescing is not important. We'd love to be able to disable vm quiescing on a per vm basis directly in the backup & recovery Web-UI.
Would like for the Backup Manager to automatically filter the LSV path in case the LSV gets accidentally selected for backup, to prevent backing up the LSV information.
Customer requests to add Quickbooks' main file types to the Documents backup solution.
I want to be able to grab files from any system backed up to the cloud and be able to move them to any other system. Please make this a possibility. This should be a basic thing for simple file backup and recovery. If you could make this a thing for hyper-v and xenservers, that would be cool too.
If you forget your encryption key (or if a malicious employee decides to go off the rails) you're customers backups are worthless.
Allow the MSP business owner a master restore password that only they would know that could override all other backup passwords.
Give us the option to have one global password for all, or one for each client. (I personally would prefer one global for all)
