MSP Backup & Recovery
I understand there is a method of which to enable, disable or modify the LocalSpeedVault settings from the ClientTool when using MAX Backup. However, I would like to be able to send a Remote Command from the CloudManagement Console which can enable, disable or modify the Local Speed Vault settings. This would be much faster and easier for me to do this from one pane without connecting to each device remotely or writing ...more »
If any dynamic disks are found during a System State Backup then the following error is generated. "The system contains dynamic disks. They cannot be recovered using the Bare Metal Recovery tool. The recovery of dynamic disks is possible as a beta version through the Virtual Disaster Recovery feature and the Standby Image Backup." Please could you change it so that error is only raised if the Dynamic disk contains the ...more »
It would be great to have the ability to be able to backup directly to our private or public cloud such as Amazon S3.
Please simply allow for a silent / unattended msi installer like many other backup software vendors have now. This would be an elegant solution that could then be used by either GPO or other RMM software deployment methods (Max, PDQ, etc.) for either domain or non-domain computers for easy remote deployment (single or mass). The main problem is that currently Max Backup (MXB) requires us to first add each 'device' into ...more »
Currently I need to reconfigure each new device from the beginning. The backup source and schedule should be settable by just applying a group/policy to the device. The group/policy should be changeable even though the device isn't online at the moment.
We would like to know if its possible to add a collumn in the restore page. For example, if we want to restore a document we first select the date of backup, then when we search for the specific file we only see the file names. It would be very helpfull if we could see the last modified date behind the specific files.
As a result of the last CMC update all our saved views (which when saved are stored locally on the workstation) were lost. Currently there is no way to retrieve or rebuild them except starting from scratch.
It would be very helpful and save a lot of time when saved views can be exported so one can import them back when needed. On the same or other workstation!
Currently when using the Virtual Drive Tool the default letter is set to B: or it looks in the Bios which is the first available letter that can be used for this feature. It would be nice if it is possible to decide during the setup of this tool which letter my Virtual Drive should be mapped.
*.cch files cause backup errors due to Access is denied error. I was told by support that they are temp files generated by .net framework and can be safely excluded from backup.
I suggest making the exclusions built-in by default.
Most of us are protecting more than 1 sites/clients with Max Backup, it will be good if we are able to deploy installation files with prebuild backup schedule template. For those with more than 1 backup windows, there is no interval backup windows available for scheduling now, hence everytime a new machine is setup, we have to go through setting everything up again. This will save us time having to repeatedly configure ...more »
Include capability within Virtual Drive installers for Silent/Unattended installation via install switches.
