Clear list, what i backup on every PC/server

Its good idea, to see, what is backuped on every computer or server in dashboard as list of PCs/servers and source patch/drives/sql db, etc.

For now, i must look at every backup, click Source and look for directories or images, what i backup. If i have more backup tasks, it take really a lot of time to verify, that i have good settings for backups...

Sites and computers information on creating task

Did you make backup for more than 5 PC ? Its horrible, how we can select Computer for backups. There is only computer name, nothink else. IP adress, MAC adress, computer sites, or anythink else was showed in limited list only in dashboard in Agent list. Is good to make SITES for agents, show IP adress in Computer Selection in task create (optimally with sort option for name and IP), and give selected computers on start ...more »

Central Managed bare-metal backup & restore

The bare-metal backup restore is a separated utility. It doesn't support central management which like Symantec does. If the customer need to backup their system, he needs to: #1 download the bootable restore disk #2 Burn it to cd/dvd #3 reboot the system by using this bootable disk #4 performance any backup or restore activity Is it possible to integrate this into the backup itself, so an administrator can performance ...more »

Can't restore individual file from stacked backup

I suggest you... add the ability to restore individual files and folders from a stacked backup older than the most recent backup version.

Currently, when browsing for a file and/or folder to restore, only the most recent copy of the file/folder can be restored. When doing a full restore you do have the option to choose a particular version.

Need backup usage details sent to PSA

So now that we have backup available and integrated with the dashboard and to our PSA for ticketing - I'd LOVE to see the functionality of pushing usage details to my PSA as well. If I'm going to bill my clients for amount of space used then I need to know how much they are using at the point of billing. As it is now, I would have to look up their account on the dashboard to determine usage. Then manually enter that ...more »

See selected size for backup account in dashboard/reports

At the moment if you want to see the selected size for backup for a backup account you have to open backup manager or get your calculator out and add up the different jobs on the backup tab in the dashboard. As backup pricing is changing to be purley based on backup size this is even more important. What I would like is a report that tells me the selected backup size for backup accounts so that we can bill accordingly. ...more »

option to close GFI Backup (freeware) tray icon

As it is now, I can make the tray icon disappear manually, using its menu. But that's temporary. The icon reappears at reboot. Alternatively, the OS (Vista, for me) theoretically could hide a particular tray icon. But with this one, it fails for whatever reason. The tray icon reappears at boot time. I have no real need for the icon because I have no automatic, prescheduled runs of a backup task. Each backup gets launched ...more »
