When accessing the Network Tab and Connected Devices there are discovered items there that are not useful to our management due to the age of the device. For example, decommissioned servers, workstations, network equipment, printers. It would be good to have an option to set a limit for how long these devices are maintained in the discovered devices, this way an MSP can decide if they want to purge the devices and how ...more »
MSP Remote Monitoring & Management
Currently, the MAV policy has a checkbox to "Automatically reboot device when required", which we leave disabled so we're not rebooting devices during work hours. It would be nice if we could define a policy setting so MAV can reboot devices at a certain time or in a certain time window, for instance at 11pm any weekday.
When the new PME is installed it comes with three services that have the Solarwinds MSP brand before the name of the service (ex: Solarwinds MSP Patch Management Engine). Would be nice if we can change this to our own brand.
The usable automated task 'add user to local group' does not have any failure conditions, so if it is returning an error it would still show up as successful in the dashboard with no indication that it failed whatsoever. We contacted SolarWinds Support and this was their message: "I downloaded the script and had a look and there does not look to be any failure conditions. Currently there is no way to change that on ...more »
Please add AntiVirus update check for MAC devices.
Plus, for example if you would take a look at Executive Summary Report, then all mac machines appear as not protected.
As your support stated:
"The executive summary report for the antivirus section works from the checks. So for the windows devices you can see that they have antivirus update checks where as the MAC devices doesn't (Because we don't support that). "
The ability to store login credentials similar to the Secrets Vaults feature on the standalone solution.
A recycle bin for deleted devices to get historicle data and settings back to a device
A great feature would be to have the ability to opt out of patching for a set period of time. For example, two hours. When a device is off and the patch schedule is missed the patches are set to install ASAP when the device is brought back online. During the day it causes issues. A great example is an executive giving a presentation and a patch requiring a reboot is installed and the device reboots thus ending the ...more »
It would be great to have the windows in the RMM Dashboard fit all browser and screen resolutions. It would be great to have a scroll bar so that we do not have to zoom out to save or cancel change we are making to feature settings or policies.
It would be nice to have the option to either opt out of receiving the survey emails after every case or to have a send survey option in the success center where we can enter or case number and ask for a survey then fill it out.
It would be great to edit the take control policy and have the ability to start the session in file transfer mode or add a take control option that offers the file transfer only so we do not have to remote on the device and interrupt the client.
We use a report that queries the local machine for it creation date in the BIOS, and gives us an approximate age of computer. This would be very nice to have built into the Summary tab, which would allow it to be used in a Custom Filter in the Asset Tracking screen. For example a report to show a customer all their computers that are greater than 5 years old.
