We have a client in Korea and some of their computer names shows "???". Going thru the Asset Tracking also, some of the Software installed were also showing "???". It seems the dashboard is not able to recognized Korean characters. Sooner we will be deploying the agent in our client's office in Beijing and I'm afraid the same issue will happen. MSP Remote Monitoring & Management
I have used this software at my previous company and found it extremely useful, the ability to use this within remote monitoring for our clients would be such a help. It allows you to set a start and end point and run a continuous ping on the path, it shows you stats from transit likelihood and time between hops where the failures lie in the network trail with a 3rd party. The forced 2FA implementation is quite annoying and I would really like SolarWinds to reconsider how they intend to implement it. First off, we now have to dismiss messages every single time (dozens a times a day) we want to remote background or remotely access a computer. I enjoy the added security of 2FA to my dashboard but would really like to avoid having to enter the authorization code at every login. Can we allow 30 day browser trust?
Currently there is a problem with MSP Anywhere and key mapping between Windows and Mac (or any devices with different keyboard layouts) which makes it impossible to write most of the characters outside of the a-zA-Z 1-0 range. This affects several punctuation characters and almost all international characters. And especially non-English keyboard layouts. The new Web Protection rolled out with agent 10.4.3 blocks based on the Reputation Score.
The policies should offer the ability to enable or disable this feature, and should allow the ability to set the threshold.
Currently any site with a Reputation Score of 40 or lower is blocked. For most environments this is too aggressive. We should be able to set this to 30, 35, or whatever is appropriate for the client.
SNMP check support for KYOCERA, Konica Minolta, and Richo printers
The new Active Network Discovery agent creates a file in %ProgramData%/AdvancedMonitoringAgentNetworkManagement for every day that it's active. When I inquired as to when/how extraneous files were deleted, i was told: "These files do not get deleted so you will have to manually remove them. We would like to monitor things like Toner Capacity of HP LaserJets etc. via SNMP and go to alert state if the level gets below a predifined value. This works fine as long as the printers are never switched off. It would be fine if we could have a checkbox "Alert only if device online". I know you can use the server to SNMP to other devices, be would be really good to be able to add routers, switches, WAPs, PBX etc as objects in the dashboard that then link back to a server SNMP check. Would make the monitor MUCH more complete. The Agent should checking whenever the service starts. This would ensure that we know as soon as systems are back online, rather than having to wait for the next scheduled checkin period.
At the moment when rebooting a workstation it stays 'offline' in the dashboard for a long time rather than instantly reporting they are online.
