(Suspect I misunderstood Omar, so pulling this from my comments on http://ideas.solarwindsmsp.com/a/dtd/Add-other-network-devices-Device-discovery-Network-scanning/94138-4178#idea-tab-comments) Per Omar's "Network Devices in RMM" webinar on Wed Oct 24, I'm requesting support here for: * pfSense (same OIDs as your current "Linux Monitoring" template for SNMP checks) * Unifi - everything under 18.104.22.168.4.1.4422.214.171.124... ...more »
MSP Remote Monitoring & Management
We have a client in Korea and some of their computer names shows "???". Going thru the Asset Tracking also, some of the Software installed were also showing "???". It seems the dashboard is not able to recognized Korean characters. Sooner we will be deploying the agent in our client's office in Beijing and I'm afraid the same issue will happen. Hope this can be supported as we're now supporting regional offices of our ...more »
In the new Mixed Tab and the Upcoming Devices Tab, it would be great to be able to add Network Connected Printers as devices we could directly manage. Our MSP manages network connected imaging devices such as large MFP copiers. We would like to be able to track metrics and set alerts based on things such as: 1. Toner Levels 2. Page Counts 3. Printer Errors Additional things that would make things even better would be ...more »
SonicWALL checks already appear in the list of checks from a server, but the Firewall OS is not detected during a Network Discovery. Couldn't it be added and checked directly that way?
The forced 2FA implementation is quite annoying and I would really like SolarWinds to reconsider how they intend to implement it. First off, we now have to dismiss messages every single time (dozens a times a day) we want to remote background or remotely access a computer. Once this is forced on it becomes an even bigger annoyance having to pull out our phones to authenticate. It's so annoying many of our techs are circumventing ...more »
Currently there is a problem with MSP Anywhere and key mapping between Windows and Mac (or any devices with different keyboard layouts) which makes it impossible to write most of the characters outside of the a-zA-Z 1-0 range. This affects several punctuation characters and almost all international characters. And especially non-English keyboard layouts. Please fix MSP Anywhere so the key you press actually sends that ...more »
DrayTek are a very popular manufacturer and used by many MSP's. It would be good to have SNMP checks available as standard.
The new Web Protection rolled out with agent 10.4.3 blocks based on the Reputation Score.
The policies should offer the ability to enable or disable this feature, and should allow the ability to set the threshold.
Currently any site with a Reputation Score of 40 or lower is blocked. For most environments this is too aggressive. We should be able to set this to 30, 35, or whatever is appropriate for the client.
The new Active Network Discovery agent creates a file in %ProgramData%/AdvancedMonitoringAgentNetworkManagement for every day that it's active. When I inquired as to when/how extraneous files were deleted, i was told: "These files do not get deleted so you will have to manually remove them. Over time once a file reaches 10MB it will create a new file. These will build up over time, so when it becomes an issue you can ...more »
I have seen in other applications that you can get direct access to the Eventlog by a click when you do have an error in one of the event logs.
That's more than nice, taht's a must, isn't
It would be nice if it is possible to do some calculations with SNMP OID's.
For example to calculate the percentage of used memory on a Cisco device:
(.126.96.36.199.188.8.131.52.184.108.40.206.5.1 * 100) / (.220.127.116.11.18.104.22.168.22.214.171.124.5.1 + .126.96.36.199.188.8.131.52.184.108.40.206.6.1)
This would result in a percentage in stead of a value.
I would like the ability to explore a computer's file system, transfer files back and forth, add folders, and delete without interrupting the user.
