I would like to be able to select all or several devices at the client level and suspend AV Defender for 30, 60, or 90 minutes or custom time to allow software to be installed. Currently you have to go into each computer individually and turn it off and then go back and turn it on.
we would like to have an additional button in the AV Tab to clear the the corresponding tab contents.
This would help with keeping clear sight on the important contents rather than being overwhlemed with content that has already been dealt with.
I was working with a technician who told me that even if you have an Exclusion Process or Folder in AV Defender, the antivirus might ignore this entry and block the file anyway.
I simply request that setting up an exclusion actually works and that AV Defender can't override the setting and block the file anyway.
I can't find how to delete this. Support emailed me back today and changed their response from it's working as intended to it is a bug and was related to how the definition was being scraped. Could have saved some time if we looked into it more thoroughly last week but here we are. If someone can let me know how to delete this or just close it since support now considers my issue a bug that would be great. It would ...more »
When installing MAV, any existing AV checks are still present even though they have been uninstalled or disabled by the agent.
These checks should be automatically removed when installing MAV.
Some other options on the Bitdefender quarantine tab would be helpful. 1. I'd like to see an option to release from quarantine without adding a whitelist entry. In practice, Bitdefender seems to suffer from false positives pretty often. I would like to trigger a definition update, then release the quarantined files (without whitelisting) to see if the newer definitions will fix the problem. The policy whitelists get ...more »
Reading NCentral's documentation, it appears that the AV Status service cannot support newer versions of antivirus. For instance, most of our clients are running Trend Worry Free Business Security version 9.5. The AV Status script pulls the correct version that is running on the PC. However, what the script finds is not pulled into the AV Status service itself. Also, the AV Service cannot apparently pull what the ...more »
It has come to my attention that to apply an exclusion or make a SPECIFIC change to the antivirus for a single device or client, one must create an entirely new policy and apply it to that device or client. This seems counter intuitive. For instance, if I want to exclude a single folder on a single device, I should be able to select the client, select the device, right click -> Managed Antivirus and apply an exclusion. ...more »
Please add support for CIS to the antivirus check.
Currently the only solution is to delete the check from the template. I do not want to do this. Is there another way of handling this that can be automated?
Bitdefender has been touting their product for a while. A/V A/M are absolute necessities for Macs these days. I have seen topics open on this since 2013.
I think it is time to get this in place.
AV Defender is currently available for the Windows platform, however, there is no centralized AV for Mac devices.
