I have clients that archive old projects and data which they have to keep for a certain time. These rarely change so archiving is perfect. However, these folders are on the same server as their main "live" data. Currently there is no way to differentiate what is "archive" data from what is "live" data. Would it be possible to search both incoming and outgoing messages in the same log search, for delivered mail and archived messages, instead of a separate one for either incoming or outgoing?
We need the possibility to configure the Archiving preferences through the profile.
In all of our backup services we are including a 12 month archiving (one set every month) and at the moment we have to send this configuration through Remote Comand to every single backup endpoint and this is not very useful.
Due to often limited disk space on LSVs, there should be an option to let archives be backed up to the cloud only and there should be an option to keep only x amounts of archives on the LSV.
With the 'backup & recovery' feature currently you can pre-configure archiving to take place on a schedule. You can however not convert an existing restore point into an archive. This might be helpful in situations where you've not had archiving enabled or a particular event has occurred unexpectedly and a archive from the point in time is necessary. It would be good to have the ability to set up archiving within a schedule rather than in general. This granular control would be very useful.
There is nowher in the dashboard/reports where you can see if a MOB backup has "archiving" set on.
That yould be nice. It would then be easy to identify the one missing "archiving"
A couple of things surrounding the archiving feature. 1) Include a column in CMC and or web interface that shows the number of Archived recovery points. This would allow for easier management of the archive points as currently, you'd had to go to show sessions, order by flags and manually count all points with A while also ensuring that that backup did not fail.
