Add new physical drives (server monitoring)

Devices perform asset scans every 24 hours (and upon restart). They don't add new hardware. For example, Host-01 is low on disk space. Engineer adds 2 drives, expands the array, disk space is great. BUT - Host-01 is still monitoring 6 drives, not the 8 total it now has installed. N-central scanned the asset; it sees the drives. But the template is not automatically re-applied and the extra drives are not automatically ...more »

Discovery job import to specific site

I'd like the ability to use 1 probe with multiple discovery jobs where each job would import the discovered assets into a specific site in N-Central. This would help with having the assets show up in the correct site in CW configurations and ensure that technicians can quickly see all devices in a specific site without going through any additional steps. Currently discovery jobs want a probe per site in N-Central which ...more »

Service Plan Asset Count by Location

We're able to filter the asset count on a service plan via tags. It would be nice if we could add the ability to filter by location. If we could add multiple locations to one service plan, then it would be easy to bill based on what devices are in a specific location. For example, let's say a client has 3 locations, but only 2 of them are covered with Managed Services. Then in our service plan called Managed Services, ...more »

Search by Asset Information in "All Devices"

Currently there is no way to search for information like Serial Number or Asset Tag in the "All Devices" screen. Currently the only way to perform this kind of search is to start creating a filter and sort by "Hardware > System Serial Number > Contains". This is obviously not ideal and for the few techs that need to search by serial number it can be confusing after not doing it for so long. Would it be feasible to add ...more »

Custom asset information templates

At this moment, N-central is configured to get the asset information for a default device class on a specific place on the device. Because of this the asset tab on these devices has a lot of information. But for devices where no default device class exists, the asset tab on these devices is mostly empty. For example: Eaton UPS, HP storage boxes, … I think that it’s an innovative idea that you can specify which SNMP OID ...more »

PowerShell Asset Discovery

Like it is possible to do SNMP Asset Discovery, it would be nice to have this also for PowerShell objects. You ask for a list of powershell objects, and this information will then be included in asset scan and can than be used as asset information for service templates:

Examples: different sheduled tasks, different DHCP scopes, ...

Display original Windows Product key in Asset Tracking

Windows 7 OEM installations where a volume licence key has been used will often show the same Windows serial number and product key in Asset Tracking.

Asset Tracking should also pull the original Windows 7 product key from wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey, for asset tracking purposes

Apps installed from Windows store does not show on dashboard

Windows 10 apps that are installed via the Windows Store do not show on dashboard under the "Assets" tab. They also do not show up under "Programs and Features" in the Control Panel.

However, if you go Settings > Apps & features in Windows 10, you can see these Windows store apps.

We would like to see the Apps tab show the apps that are installed via the Windows Store as well.

Include Build Version in Asset Tracking Export

At the moment the export you can generate from the asset tracking does not include the build version of the devices displayed. Thus making the filtering or listing of the different devices and builds you are monitoring in the dashboard hard to achieve. The only viable option at the moment is the client inventory report. Running this report for the required Clients and then Ctrl+A to highlight all and then copy/paste ...more »
