This asset management would be much more useful if it were able to do the following: - Allow for editing of fields within the asset fields for an item; adding additional serial numbers, purchase dates, warranty expiration dates, etc. This is something Spiceworks and other asset management studios do well out of the box. - Allow for adding non-discoverable devices like switches, printers, etc. This would get me more ...more »
We presently use another product for Asset Mgt. that supplies software product keys. If a machine has to have a full re-install (hard drive failure), we use those software product keys to accomplish this without having to go to a lot of trouble. From the standpoint of License Mgt., we are able to export the software keys into Excel so that we can check ourselves on license compliance as well as to make decision on which ...more »
It is possible to see the windows license key in the summary of asset tracking. Why don't see the MS Office license key? From time to time we have problems with customers that can't find their license keys or they need several days to find them. It would be a helpful solution!
Ad a 'Free Space' column for Disk Drives in the Asset Tracking > XML Data Dump (from the report menu). Currently, it only shows the "Size" (of the drive).

I would be great to have a Changes tab in Asset Tracking, so if any software, hardware, ip adresses change has occured since last scan, then it will be listed, sorted by date.
Run a script on a machine and this will then populate the Custom Fields within Asset Tracking or use the API to update the information there
Within Asset tracking it would be useful to have an area to display all users who have logged onto this machine and all their logons and count.
Also this should be able to be pulled from the API
Within Asset Tracking it would be useful to know how to run this manually as I have been told you need to install some software however that isn't the best way for us any more.
I would be happy to run a script which sets a registry value to 0 or 1 when we want to do a manual upload
On Asset Tacking it gets the username by the registry which in most cases for me is wrong. It would be better to get the username of the last user logged on from the same place the Server/Workstation pulls it from.
In asset tracking, in the individual hardware items (eg motherboard) it shows a count for the number that particular hardware.
When you click the count column header to sort by quantity it doesn't put it in numerical order, please can you fix this. not sure what it is doing but is definitely a bug. will attach picture so that you can see what Im talking about.
The software licence groups in asset tracking only shows software beginning with A-Z and 0-9 meaning that software that begins with anything else is not displayed (eg. µ) I suggest that this is changed so that software beginning with accented letters, ALT symbols, Chinese/pictorial characters and Cyrillic characters is traceable using the software licence groups in asset tracking. The software licencing feature ...more »
