Hi, I shocked me to discover that I couldn't create or copy existing monitoring checks from a Linux server like you can from Windows Servers. I understand the Linux monitoring, tasks and automation aren't quite as advanced as the Windows options, but I expected the Monitoring Template Options to be on par between Windows and Linux. I can't quite get my head round whys its not available. RMM can do already do the checks, ...more »
Hi, I have a successful failed check and run automated task setup for Windows Defender updates. However, the loop doesnt close when the automated task runs successfully. So I am left with an open alert and ticket. The suggestion is to run the associated DSC check(s) again manually. For full automation it would be good to have the associated DSC check run again, say 2 or 3 times max (to prevent an infinite loop on continuous ...more »
At the moment you are able to monitor a lot of different systems through snmp checks but not the Intel Raid Storage Controller this would be a great addition to the dashboard.
Thank you for your consideration.
Currently its not possible to apply a monitoring template to offline devices. This makes more work for a sysadmin. Support chat says, the device needs to be online. Me request is that each time we edit a template. its gets a verison number automaticly, and if the device comes online it needs to check which version it has. When the new template with a higher version number is detected. It should apply the new template. ...more »
It would be nice to have a ping originate from the probe as well as from the Central Server.
There would only be one ping that would be used to determine "connectivity", however this way, the system could test to see if a firewall, or other edge network device, was LAN reachable as well as WAN reachable.
Currently the only solution is to delete the check from the template. I do not want to do this. Is there another way of handling this that can be automated?
At the moment (as far as I am aware) only performance monitoring check have this option where when the alert triggers it can go into either "report" mode (Yellow Triangle) or "alert" mode (Red X, puts server into "error" state). Report mode is incredibly useful as it allows us to monitor with checks without creating a ton of noise. It would be useful to have the choice for all checks so we can individually set checks ...more »
Often I want to be able to set a particular check (not the WHOLE device and definitely not to delete the check) into maintenance mode (while I try and fix it) so that doesn't alert red on my monitoring board all the time so I can see the other more important checks requiring action!
It would be nice if there is an option to change the default settings. For example change the Backup check mo-fr as default, so I don't have to adjust this every time.
At the moment you are not able to properly manage your saved SNMP templates. When using SNMP checks for multiple RAIDs with different OIDs you have to create a new SNMP template each time. This creates a lot of repetitive manual labor that would not be needed if you were able to just copy & paste an existing template and do small adjustments afterwards (ex. just changing the OID) instead of having to create a new check ...more »
On the face of it, it seems quite reasonable to set checks for AV to alert after getting 3 days behind. This would cover if the work device was turned off over the weekend (Albeit, a bit of a squeeze if there is a Bank Holiday included). However, if the device is switched off for a prolonged period (let's just say over the 3 days), then as soon as it's switched on, it's immediately out of date and alerts us (more importantly ...more »
