The main goal of this report is to quickly show features that are enabled in each device and their installation status especially the installation error message found at the summary tab.
The software inventory report contains thousands of records when you consider all the users and workstations in a network. Being able to sort or filter out, by date, just the applications that were installed in the past x days, would be helpful in identifying what has actually been added to the network.
I want to determine whether the logged in user is a Microsoft Azure, AD, Workgroup account in used by an agent. This would be most importantly when deploying agents, when auto-discovery-and-probe finds a windows device and can't install the agent due to credential mismatch, because this device is on the network but is part of some other domain controller, Azure, AD, or Workgroup. Would like for the Agent to pull the registry uninstall commands and allow N-Central to one button push uninstall any app/application on the client machine. Also, would like to have a checkbox (per user, device and global options) to automatically remove applications when they are found in the system. The monitoring service connectivity exists on each windows device, but the default windows firewall blocks incoming ICMP request.
During installation of the agent, is it possible to create a firewall rule to allow this traffic so that this service isn't in error by default.
We have scripts that reference the agent and probe installers at e.g. "https://ncentral.example.com/download/220.127.116.117/winnt/N-central/WindowsProbeSetup.exe". Whenever we update N-Central or port a script to our test environment running the beta version, we have to manually adjust the link in the script to point to the current version. Providing a link without a version component would make our job a lot easier.
With the "Reinstall Agent" task introduced in version 11.1.1, I would like an option to specify a notification in the event of either success or failure. This way the Tech who initiated the task will be able to immediately take action after the reinstall completes and/or fails, instead of refreshing the jobs screen to know when the task has completed.
Rolling out the MAX RM agent via Intune is not possible, due to the required .zip file that needs to be with the RW installer. It would have been great if we could generate a full .MSI installer file without the need for any .zip files.
We need a way to download BD MAV to do a standalone installs for sites with low bandwidth like you can download the agent software. MAV install consumes to much bandwidth to be successful doing push installs on many computers with sites with low internet bandwidth.
Hi, as the data from Active Discovery is not available from the API, there is no way to really use it, like listing all computers that are missing agent for all clients. We need to check customer by customer, network by network to have a full list. On large environements (like those with few hundred clients) there is no way to do it in an efficient way. how about marking Devices which have pending installations with yellow device buttons.
then we could select whether we want to have them warn or not warn.
this would be an optimal addition for onboarding new Customers - then we would see whether 100% of devices have successfully installed MAV
When using the Site Installation Package using a usb user gets no message about the install is started, nor whether it is completed or the status of the installation.
One should be able to choose the Site Installation Package must be uattended (as now) or Attended, dermed you get information from the installation.
Since we paid a good deal of money for branding, it would be really nice if the application can be installed using our brand instead of "Advanced Monitoring Agent GP" Many other RMM products allow for this -- either generating a custom MSI from the control panel using our company name or some field for input... or using an install switch with the Group Policy Deployment. We can install the agent on a desktop OS and instruct it to install in Server mode for greater flexibility, but cannot do the inverse. We have several cases where we want to use a Server OS in a less critical environment, and don't want the extra monitoring costs or features.
