When using LDAP to sync mailboxes have LDAP properly configure distribution lists in Mail Assure.
Allow use of ldap auth and control panel password
under MSP mail it was possible to use both LDAP auth and local control panel auth for panel login.
i.e in the event that the AD server is down currently users cannot login to their dashboard to release mail etc
under MSP mail it was possible for users to have password stored in MSP mail that allowed access to the dashboard for Business continuity purposes
Hello, We migrated from MaxMail and we informed customers that if there mail server ever went offline they could log in to their control panel in MaxMail and still send and receive emails. It looked as though the same was true in Mail Assure. However their is a difference in the Mail Assure process that I think you should address. the ability for an MSP to promote an alias domain to the primary domain for a customer would be useful
this would help mitigate the issues of not being able to login to the web panel via LDAP using an alias domain
When will we get real ldap sync where we can sync the domain users in a specific OU and have their account added to the local recipients list - this feature was used heavily in MSP mail . We want the ldap sync to handle new user adds to mail assure just like the old product did. I was told this was going to be added Q1. We also want to sync the user domain password with the mail assure logon for the user portal.
Previously on MSP Mail you was able to configure LDAP login specific attribute an external forwarding (see screenshot), i hope this features will be added soon to Mail Assure.
