We've recently undergone a change of company and had to submit new branding (logo) etc. Existing devices still show the old company name in the MAV systray (About), also in the list of installed programs. I've been informed that only new agents or an agent reinstall on the device uses the new branding - so existing agents deployed are set with the brand / company details and cannot be modified. Seems 're-branding' has ...more »
We would like to see the Managed Antivirus Threat Report to be more in sync with the monthly reports.
Therefor the option to select a scheduled delivery date for this report is a feature we would want to have added.
Some other options on the Bitdefender quarantine tab would be helpful. 1. I'd like to see an option to release from quarantine without adding a whitelist entry. In practice, Bitdefender seems to suffer from false positives pretty often. I would like to trigger a definition update, then release the quarantined files (without whitelisting) to see if the newer definitions will fix the problem. The policy whitelists get ...more »
We need a way to download BD MAV to do a standalone installs for sites with low bandwidth like you can download the agent software. MAV install consumes to much bandwidth to be successful doing push installs on many computers with sites with low internet bandwidth.
It would be nice if there is a sorting function for Managed Antivirus. For example i'll tipp "T" and it would jump to the customer "test".
So we have the option to enable dashboard access to our clients via edit client in the "view-only" mode.
This offers the options to use take control and Backup & Recovery already and we would appreciate the option to allow them to pause the Managed Antivirus - Bitdefender on their devices which is required to install certain software.
MAV (BD engine) uses way to much CPU power, especially on laptops where it eats battery like crazy. On my laptop (a relatively fast i7 with an SSD) it sucks down 50 to 70% CPU during scans, (which always run at normal priority even though it is set to run at low. This needs to be dealt with. BD might be a better engine than Vipre, but the MAV implementation is way to demanding to be usable on most computers. 1)Fix ...more »
I've always tried to teach my kids to be well behaved by putting their toys away, not leaving a mess, and cleaning up after themselves. If only Managed AntiVirus had learned that lesson as well. There seems to be an inordinate number of directories, files, and registry entries accumulating the longer MAV is installed. Add to this leftovers from the old Vipre installations and other unique directories created by the ...more »
As soon as MAV is used/enabled on a device, there should be an option to remove other AV checks listed for this device. This could be a small checkbox inside profiles dialog, to enable this or not.
For MAV BitDefender, when will customers be able to cancel the scan locally from their workstation? There's not even a policy option to do enable this functionality.
Also, even in "low priority", we have seen scans ramp up CPU and disk usage to the point where customers notice. "Low priority" should mean "Low priority", not "Normal priority".
Thanks in advance,
Currently there is no options to either create a report or look at the RMM dashboard to easily see who is on what policy for MAV or web protection. This can be a problem when one machine has had a policy manually set and the rest of the site is using a different policy. Currently the only way to check this, is by opening each machine one at a time to see what policy has been applied. It would be helpful if reports can ...more »
It would be nice to be able to open a pane like the north pane and see all or a select group of computers and what type of scan issues were found and be able to take action. Action should include allowing at the desktop level if possible so we do not have to have create a template for single exceptions. The pane should have alerts for out of date definition, last date full and quick scan, virus detected, malware detected ...more »
