It would be very helpful to have the ability to set the password expiration time for a users password. We are using the cloud solution, so we do not have this ability.
We really need a way to backup passwords stored in MSP Manager. We are hesitant to put passwords in any cloud service if it does not have a way to back up the passwords. It would also be great to backup the customer data. (just give me a database dump so i have SOMETHING).
Within the password section we would like to have passwords nested on multiple levels.
Currently we have a naming scheme to order passwords friendlier however if passwords could be nested under each other would be very helpful. We go down to 5 levels depending on the system.
A lot of times I need to do work on a machine while the customer is away, but I don't know their login password. Users never mind giving me their passwords, but email is not secure and getting them over the phone is a hassle. It would be (much) better if we could give users the reboot host rights without having them to know the admin password. This could be done with for example an additional popup that you have to confirm, for example with a drop down listbox control for confirmation. Good idea to recover passwords but you should have allowed us to brand the email address as you do with the alerts. So instead of firstname.lastname@example.org the recovery password should come from email@example.com (insert partner domain here) with our own customized text.
I would love to see a secure information vault that would contain sensitive customer information like user names / password, router log in information, etc. This would need to be with granular permissions. This would also be helpful for remote techs such as Virtual Life Help Desk.
