MAC-MSP AV Reporting

It would be great to be able to pull a report for all devices at a client showing their scan dates like you can for windows machines in RMM. It would make it a lot easier to see the status of AV scans for clients with macs instead of individually going in and looking at each one's devices logs on the MAC-MSP Site.

Agent initial scan improvement

Currently the initial scan does add service checks for some specific services and that's it. I am certain it would make much more sense to add all services with "automatic" start type to the list of monitored services for the automatic detection. For instance if the server is running multiple MS SQL instances, none of them is automatically being added to the monitored services while I am certain this is something worth ...more »

MAV BitDefender can't stop scan, high resource usage

Greetings,

For MAV BitDefender, when will customers be able to cancel the scan locally from their workstation? There's not even a policy option to do enable this functionality.

Also, even in "low priority", we have seen scans ramp up CPU and disk usage to the point where customers notice. "Low priority" should mean "Low priority", not "Normal priority".

Thanks in advance,

Isaac Grover

scan configuration in RI dashboard

The Scan configuration is necessary in the RI dashboard if we are to deal with false positives. I have encrypted files whose contents are showing as having credit card data when, in fact, it's just random data (encrypted) that happens to match the pattern. If I had a regular RI account, and not through the Max RMM, I would have access to Scan Configurations menu option to exclude files. This is a must for my clients ...more »

Vulnerability Checks unreliable

We are seeing an increasing number of vulnerability check failures across our customer estate. I am seeing at least 15 across 700 servers. I understand from support there is a trouble.exe that can be run but I think more can be done to improve reliablility including: 1. Running the Languard service as a named user rather than SYSTEM, this should be set at install time, or a logicard displayed. 2. Better intelience ...more »

Seperate MAV checks for scanning and Active protection

Currently there is a single check for both scanning (quick and deep) and Active Protection that fails (with potentially erroneous boilerplate text (No scan in 7 days and Active protection off") ifeither a scan has not been performed OR Active Protection is turned off. Since these are separate, independent functions, they deserve separate checks. I've had occasion to disable scanning but leave Active protection on (performance, ...more »

Add 'Wake-to-scan' feature for BD

There seem to be enough issues with BD performance and scheduling (scan if schedule is misssed, sequential scans, multithreaded with hich memory and CPU usage) that it seems the the only resolution may be to guarantee that scans run in the off hours. The only way to accomplish this may be to add an option to wake the machine (if suspended) to perform the scan. This will help balance the user's desire for effective security ...more »

Bitdefender - impose a time limit and implement restart point

There needs to be a mechanism to limit 'runaway' scans i.e. a scan that takes an inordinate amount of time. Quick and Deep scans should have (separate) options to specify the amount of time that a scan is allowed to run e.g. 1 hour for a quick scan and 5 hours for a deep scan. This would help alleviate the CPU intensive nature of scans and prevent 'infinite' scans i.e. a scan never starts or one scan starts when another ...more »
