When creating an automation policy, I need a way to include the customer ID and the Site and the machine id in N-central (not necessarily the net bios name) in an email that is being sent out. If i could pull this information into a variable that would be great. An email that only contains the computer name is not very useful with you have thousands of computers.
Right now it's possible to filter a report by customer, but not by site.
The only way around this would be to filter by a rule and then we would need to create a rule and a filter for that specific site's devices
But why not being able to see in a report for a customer the respective sites where a device is included in?
Or why not being able to filter by site?
As SolarWinds adds more services to it's RMM product, it becomes increasingly difficult to manage these services for client sites. It would be great to be able to see all services enabled for a site on one screen and enable and configure them. For example, it would be nice if you could right-click on a site and choose edit services. Then be brought to a screen where I could easily see that the site has AV enabled, Web ...more »
whether you are using the full screen 'wizard' to create a new site, or the administration\sites\add , please add in a section where we can chose what accesses to grant the probe(s).
The ability to move customers or sites between SOs at the system level would be useful. We have managed and un-managed customers in separate SOs, sometimes they change their agreement and need to be moved.
The ability to move customers/sites/devices already exists within an SO, this would just be an extension of this feature up to the system level.
Currently when trying to generate a report on a specific site within a customer it can only generate the report for all sites under the customer. The ability to filter for sites the same way an SO can be filtered for Customers would provide the flexibility required to generate relevant reports that are not flooded with unnecessary data.
In the Patch Approval wizard, selected Approve Patches by Patch, filtering devices by Customer, the list of customers and sites is sorted alphabetically with no regard to which sites belong to which customers instead of sites being indented underneath the customers they belong to like it is in the so/customer/site navigation drop down menu
In some cases we may want to set the maximum allowed number of Workstations and Servers for a Client. If an agent is installed into one of the Client's sites that would result in the max. being exceeded, then the device should not be added to the dashboard and the install should return an appropriate error message. We should be able to set the max. allowed via the API and the add/edit Client Dashboard GUI. If left ...more »
Web Protection Summary showing (All Sites) daily or as many as 4 times a day possible to quickly spot issue. If I could generate or automate the generation of a Daily Web Protection Summary showing (All Site) just the Summary figures Blocked, Bandwidth, Requests, etc it may have helped me spot a machine hit hard by Malware which lead to a CryptoWall Ransomware issue on that workstation and a server thru the shared folders. ...more »
The Sites have a maximum of 30 characters
Its to short for our customers.
Can this be expanded to 40 or something?
Maybe now or in the future dashboard release?
Under asset tracking the sites dropdown does not list in alphabetical order, apparently sites are listed in the order that they were created.
For consistencies sake I would recommend that the sites order in the dropdown is in the same order as elsewhere (ie workstation/server monitoring).
Enable Sites to be passed into ConnectWise under the Location column via the PSA API.
