Control the order that Service Templates get re-applied

The N-Central server that I manage is set to re-apply templates nightly. I'd like the ability to prioritize or order which templates would run before others. I.E. I have a SQL Template that adds data for each SQL DB and then I have another template that removes generic SQL DB monitoring for databases like AD Sync or Veeam. I would like the template that removes the data AFTER the template that adds the data. Customizing ...more »

Add new physical drives (server monitoring)

Devices perform asset scans every 24 hours (and upon restart). They don't add new hardware. For example, Host-01 is low on disk space. Engineer adds 2 drives, expands the array, disk space is great. BUT - Host-01 is still monitoring 6 drives, not the 8 total it now has installed. N-central scanned the asset; it sees the drives. But the template is not automatically re-applied and the extra drives are not automatically ...more »

Agent initial scan improvement

Currently the initial scan does add service checks for some specific services and that's it. I am certain it would make much more sense to add all services with "automatic" start type to the list of monitored services for the automatic detection. For instance if the server is running multiple MS SQL instances, none of them is automatically being added to the monitored services while I am certain this is something worth ...more »

Document Backup should also backup Open Document Template files

When looking at the list of files that is backed up as part of the document backup, Microsoft Office template files are included but the Open Document standard equivalent template files are not. To be more specific, the .OTT, .OTS, .OTG, and .OTP file extensions should be added. Shows the current backed up file type for document backup: ...more »

Linux Monitoring Template

Hi, I shocked me to discover that I couldn't create or copy existing monitoring checks from a Linux server like you can from Windows Servers. I understand the Linux monitoring, tasks and automation aren't quite as advanced as the Windows options, but I expected the Monitoring Template Options to be on par between Windows and Linux. I can't quite get my head round whys its not available. RMM can do already do the checks, ...more »

Apply template to offline devices and act like a Domain OU

Currently its not possible to apply a monitoring template to offline devices. This makes more work for a sysadmin. Support chat says, the device needs to be online. Me request is that each time we edit a template. its gets a verison number automaticly, and if the device comes online it needs to check which version it has. When the new template with a higher version number is detected. It should apply the new template. ...more »

Automatically detect Antivirus products and add checks

Currently competing AV products are only detected when Managed Antivirus is installed. Please add a check or task that will scan a workstation for any AV product and add it to the list of checks. This needs to happen at initial install (it may already) but it also needs to be available on demand. Also, allow the check to FAIL if any competing AV product is found, even if the product is up to date. One reason this ...more »

Managed Templates Apply In Real Time

Wouldn't it be great if you could create one new managed template per client and have it make changes to the servers covered under those templates in real time? right now templates only have a use when creating or installing agents, and then they become useless. It would be a great place to be able to add checks to an entire account.
