I would like to see the features similar to those that are available in ConnectWise available in SolarWinds RMM, such as Microsoft Update Policies. Microsoft®️ Update Policies allow you to define the patch installation settings for Microsoft updates. A single Microsoft Update Policy can be applied to one or more patching groups. You can define pre and post install scripts as well as optional settings such ...more »
Looking for N-central software to be able to detect out dated software and have the capability to auto update or upgrade software when new versions become available.
Such as Malwarebytes
We can detected that a new version is available and have N-central push new version to device or devices.
The N-Central mobile app showed which updates were missing on computers before the update to the latest App. Please bring back that feature
Updating firmware/BIOS/drivers. Wondering if there is a way of automating this process through the RMM rather than going to the manufacturer website? At least for the major manufacturers? Thoughts?
It would be helpful to do a quick customization color code of the ticket in MSP Manager either according to the ticket status or by whatever need a service company has for the tickets such as reviewed or needs review, pending customer contact, pending technician, overdue, etc. While optionally making it automatic, being able to override any automatic settings or to ignore automatic settings one a per ticket basis.
Updating supported software through Patch Management, in this case the Foxit Reader (PDF), causes the default language of the software to switch to english. This leads to the uncomfortable solution of having to manually switch back the language to the one it its supposed to be in of each installed instance. This can become quite tedious depending on the amount of device who received the update. So my request is to be ...more »
I would like to be able to separate the updates that are applied to the Mac by operating system and other software at the very least. I have need to turn off some updates, but that can't be done without disabling all updates. Ideally, I would like even more control to disable updates for a particular piece of software. My use case for this ability is that Mac-MSP updated VirtualBox on my main workstation. I use VirtualBox ...more »
Currently workstations report their AV checks via DSC at 8am, if the AV check is up to date, it passes, if it is out of date, even on the previous version, it will fail. Please can this be changed to a graduated scale so that workstations on current defs are green, within 24 hours is yellow, within 48 hours is orange and older is red. This will distinguish the workstations that have missed the DSC vs those who have ...more »
It would be really awesome if MAX RM was able to detect if device drivers were missing or needed to be updated. Keeping device drivers up-to-date helps to improve PC performance.
It would be very useful if the notification options for the policy can be set to disable update notifications only, we are finding that they "steal" the focus on the server which causes its own issues.
Any failed updates would be caught by the uupdates check as normal
Consider this scenario: A java vulnerability is found and a logiccard is shown to state that there is an insecure version of Java on the endpoints. The endpoints listed on the card are then targeted for the latest Java update via Patch Management. The current patch management settings are set to auto install every day at 7pm with no reboot, however a reboot is required. This then signals the machine on the dashboard ...more »
It would be helpful to set the client's update settings: download but don't install, don't download, allow updates, etc.
Within the current patch management reports, you can generate a Pending patches report or an Installed report, but not specified by date. I have a customer that has had PM for years, which generates massive reports that nearly crash browsers. I need a way to send them reports that simply cover a date range, so when they request a report of the patches that were installed last week, it would be great to have an option ...more »
It would be hugely beneficial and save time for us to be able to patch a Hyper-V VM's and Reboot them from an agent located on the host machine.
On computers where we have patch management enabled, it would be nice to have gfi suppress when adobe/java/microsoft prompts the user for updates.
I've had some clients doubt that their computers are being properly updated as they are prompted as soon as an update is released, even though they are getting done by patch management.
