My clients would like to generate HTML reports on employee Internet activity. At this time report builder is only available to administrator users in the RM control panel. GFI should make Web protection report builder available to client users, but their access must be limited to their Customer container.
Would like for the end-user have ability to request a whitelist or whitelist a blocked website themselves. This can be done by clicking on a "Proceed Anyway" button, submitting a built-in whitelist request form, or bypass by entering their dashboard credentials. A check box could be available indicating "I understand this website was being blocked for my protection and wish to proceed anyway."
Web Protection ability to see a breakdown by category by hour, and by website. They just want the ability to monitor right now. So I have an employer that needs to track down time wasting habits by hour to see which user of the computer was surfing porn, or watching HD videos, or find out when employees are on eBay, or shopping elsewhere. For instance to be able to clearly see that between 10:00 pm - midnight someone ...more »
Web Protection Summary showing (All Sites) daily or as many as 4 times a day possible to quickly spot issue. If I could generate or automate the generation of a Daily Web Protection Summary showing (All Site) just the Summary figures Blocked, Bandwidth, Requests, etc it may have helped me spot a machine hit hard by Malware which lead to a CryptoWall Ransomware issue on that workstation and a server thru the shared folders. ...more »
Just spent 3 days recovering from damage of CryptoWall Ransomware, need to be able to first of all do a better job of blocking, second be able to easily receive alerts when certain files are created such as Decrypt*.html files in directories, install_tor.url shortcuts, etc. I would like to be able to be alerted by Web Protection if a certain machine hits a certain number of blocked attempts in one day or when a process ...more »
I would like to auto generate reports from dashboard for Web Protection & Mobile Device Monitoring on 'from date - to date' basis.
Also this should apply to asset tracking.
It would be much more effective if we could assign web protection policies based on username instead of machine. This way we can set different levels of filtering websites based on user job description and or role. It would make for much better reporting as well, we would be able to identify heavy offenders and activity.
I was looking at the options for scheduling access to a type of website and thinking that the current option to set it by hour is a bit too restrictive. We have plenty of clients with stated working hours which run to or from half past the hour and even some with quarter past or quarter to. Would it be possible to allow the restrictions to be specified down to quarter of an hour chunks to allow greater flexibility? ...more »
Web Protection Policy settings, Filtering, Security, Whitelist, etc. are restricted to a single level of granularity. For example, there is a Desktop policy that can be applied to all desktops. If one client wants to whitelist a site or allow a class of sites it requires a completely separate policy like Desktop Client Name. Instead of inheriting the master settings of a Desktop policy, when future changes are made ...more »
When a user gets a block message there is nothing to show them what URL was blocked. This makes it hard for them to let us know what needs to be looked at and unblocked. There are strings for the policy, category, and reputation. I am suggesting that there be one added for the URL. This would allow the end user to be able to tell us specifically what page was being blocked. They could take a screenshot and email ...more »
Would be great to be able to provide the same Web Protection management for OSX (Mac) clients, now that the new service has launched.
