Allow global configuration of Windows Service Check settings

As Windows Service Checks contain some identical configuration options (for example: Number of consecutive failures required before an alert is sent), please provide users the ability to change the configuration options globally. For example, you can only change the number of consecutive failures a service must experience before an alert is generated/sent at the device level, or for all Windows Service Checks of this ...more »

Allow forcing the agent to Workstation mode, even on Server OSes

We can install the agent on a desktop OS and instruct it to install in Server mode for greater flexibility, but cannot do the inverse. We have several cases where we want to use a Server OS in a less critical environment, and don't want the extra monitoring costs or features.

Configurability Windows Service Checks

Hello, we would like to have more options to configure a windows service check. We like the idea of having the option to restart a service once it is stopped, however this functionality cannot be combined with the option to set the thresholds for consecutive failures. Linkages with Logiccards, Updates Management and Reboot

Consider this scenario: A java vulnerability is found and a logiccard is shown to state that there is an insecure version of Java on the endpoints. The endpoints listed on the card are then targeted for the latest Java update via Patch Management. The current patch management settings are set to auto install every day at 7pm with no reboot, however a reboot is required. This then signals the machine on the dashboard ...more »

Patch Management - Windows doesn't display install time/date

When using patch management you do get confirmation of whether updates have been successful and what time/date they were installed through the dashboard. However if you check Windows Update from within the OS it will only show the last time you updated manually on the system (which could have been a while ago), from a customers point of view if they use the server or workstation it appears as if we're not performing the ...more »

Retain custom services.ini across agent releases

To add a custom 24x7 service check you must add entries to the agent's services.ini file. Subsequent releases of the agent will overwrite this file (confirmed by Technical Support) wiping out any changes made (bug?). A subsequent uninstall/reinstall of the agent will require that the services.ini changes be reapplied in order to add the custom 24x7 service checks. There should be a mechanism to retain customer changes ...more »
