At present, whenever there is a network problem at a site which renders servers to go offline, we receive a tonne of alerts in our PSA and a lot of time is spent in managing those tickets in addition to the problem causing the alert. We would like to see a feature which allows certain types of alerts to be consolidated into a single email alert which in turn will create a single ticket in our PSA such as "Multiple servers ...more »
Currently there is no notification for bulkailing.
If outgoing mails are blocked / postponed to outgoing quarantine, somebody / the reseller / an email address should get a notification about this..
Here's a huge one that would help eliminate alerting noise, and i know it's not simple as it's been on the request backlog for years.
Give us the ability to craft cross-device dependancies to avoid tickets creation.
eg if I have an notification for the gateway being down, i don't also need notifications for agent status being failed on the servers behind this.
Send a notification based on licenses used or licenses available; fixed amount or percentrage.
THis would apply to any licenses within N-Central and either set at the SO or Customer Level.
This would help avoid those awkward situations where you suddenly reach capacity and then have to wait on a PO.
Suprised this isn't already in the product as it would allow Solarwinds to sell more licenses sooner?
It would be handy to have a weekly report for a client site that tells us which machines have alerted for whatever reason. Mostly this is for anti virus deep scanning. At the moment you can get an email just as the machine alerts but it would be handy to have the machines collated.
It would be really handy to know when a PC is available to be worked on again.
If this could be initiated by right clicking on the PC in question and selecting something like "alert when online" and then the system could automatically send an email alert or create an alert within the dashboard / service desk when the machine is detecting as online.
It would be useful to know that devices cannot connect to the Web Protection category and reputation server via an alert on the dashboard, this will help with potential problems in the future. This might highlight a client that has outgoing firewall port to api.bcti.brightcloud.com over port 2316.unopened.
On MAX Backup, I'd like to get an e-mail alert if the client reach a defined threshold, as an example if my client reaches 10.1GB and I sat up a threshold at 10GB, I'd get an e-mail.
I've seen that it's possible on MOB by adding dashboard checks...
Currently you can set the number for "Consecutive Failures for the Script Check" for Script Check in whole. This setting does not differentiate between DSC and 24x7 checks. Some scenarios need that differentiation, e.g. when running a DSC script to check a special backup and a 24x7 script that checks for a running process. The first check (for backup) I want to be alerted immediately as it only runs once per day, ...more »
Hello, Due to my recent feature request getting closed due to a missunderstanding, I re-open this here: I did not expect I would have to post a feature request for this functionality, as I expected it to be common sense that the MAV check should fail and report as failure in the dashboard, if a threat is marked as 'detected' and no further action is performed. This would be the case for threats in outlook .pst / .ost ...more »
There are serious timing holes in the interaction of the agent and BD. It *seems* that when a machine first starts, the agent gets all excited and rushes to premature completion without giving thought to how BD is acting. The agent should be more considerate and give BD time to complete a definition update (or at least defer failing the AV Def check). The same holds true for a machine that has been comatose for several ...more »
