I have been with my company 4 months and been the sole person responsible for the software the entire time. I only began receiving more than two Logic Cards about a week ago. Only once have I received a Patch Tuesday card. I have to ask my manager to send me all his logic cards, which takes time and makes no sense. If this can't be changed for everyone, at least make it a setting so everyone working on the software ...more »
"Security Updates for Windows 10 Version 1507 Have Ended" card came up today. When I click "View affected devices" it lists all of our Windows 10 workstations none of which are still running 1507.
Mac has a Microsoft RDP Viewer available on the AppStore:
It would be great to have the ability to RDP from a Mac device to a Windows device through MSP Anywhere RDP Tunneling.
We were hoping that we could use GFI cloud's monitor service to tell us when servers / workstations go offline, unfortunately I don't see any way to make this work. This seems silly, because I would think this is the most basic and important of all "monitor" related tasks. If server is un-reachable, notify several administrators via SMS message. Different servers would need to notify different administrators. Multiple ...more »
It would be nice to configure alert settings per group, I do not wish to see an email alert every time a service on a PC stops, but would like this level of alert for servers. We have the groups defined but cannot adjust alert settings per group
You are collecting excellent data. Provide a way for your users to download this data for instance asset reporting, software, hardware, etc.
It could be a simple csv file that could be imported into excel. include all the pc data available, MAC address, ip, name, last update time, last 5 users maybe, etc... include software versions, hardware, etc.
A suggestion to introduce an online backup service as part of GFI cloud - like dropbox but integrated into cloud.
The fact that there are only five total reports is pretty bad. Most reports focus on potential issues but none show results. Why are there no reports that show how effective GFICloud is? I'd love to show Management how many threats have been stopped and how many computers have been patched since GFICloud was implemented. But I can't - I can only tell them to trust me. Would it really be that challenging to add another ...more »
Please make the Web Filter work with Windows XP
30% of the PCs in the world run XP
Yeah we know there's an issue with HPPTS but who cares
We are loosing out and so are you
Most of all of GFI's communication with GFI is encrypted with the exception of the SOAP request/POST heartbeat to the GFI server. This contains very valuable information such as logged in user name, host name, OS version, reboot status, domain. From a security standpoint this is VERY valuable information that should not be broadcasted and is a foot hold for MITM attacks and/or reconnaissance phases of an attack. The ...more »
We had a close call with CryptoLocker yesterday, as mentioned in the news lately. The threat is opened by the client via email. : http://www.smh.com.au/it-pro/security-it/fake-speeding-fines-make-cryptolocker-lock-up-australian-files-20141030-11egcy.html Should GFI Cloud be able to prevent this ransomware? And stop it, or at least detect it? Or is there another product we should have to assist in threats like this? ...more »
Currently there is no way to change the date/time format of the TIME column in protection reports. This column doesn't use the default date/time setup chosen in the Admin level control panel, Settings page. It uses yyyymmdd (no dash or / )and then military time making it hard to read for my U.S. based customers, they are all U.S. based.
