I would if possible the ability to search by user / email in the registration of a new ticket for mobile as it is possible in the online version. Especially in the field you hardly remember the customer email.
Until N-central 12sp1, we could search by the "Customer" and "Site" columns. Bug "fix" NCCF-7996 (I'm told by support this was done on purpose) broke this and we can no longer search by those fields. It was much, much faster to filter down to all devices from a single Customer or Site by search instead of drilling into Customers and Sites. We even named all our Customers with this in mind. I would like to be able to sort/filter devices by IP address in the north pane of the dashboard.
Currently many servers indicate their are updates missing with no approval. However when i go into Patch Approvals, both by Device or By Patch, it seems to indicate all available and needed updates have been either approved or declined. When i check Patch Status V2 on the server it shows me the KB it's missing; however when i go into Patch Approvals by Device or by Patch, i cannot locate the KB. I was advised by SolarWinds ...more »
Add the ability to search by part of an asset's name, either with a wildcard character or not.
Example: Typing in the asset search '003' or '*003' instead of 'Desktop003' if assets are named like this:
Would it be possible to search both incoming and outgoing messages in the same log search, for delivered mail and archived messages, instead of a separate one for either incoming or outgoing?
The ability to search by serial number and show duplicate serial numbers in the dashboard would be nice. This would help us find computers that have been re-imaged without the agent being removed from the original.
Sometimes we have a list of machine names already, and don't want to build a filter around it. It would be really useful for the freetext device search field to accept a comma-delimited list of machine names.

Currently there is no way to search for information like Serial Number or Asset Tag in the "All Devices" screen. Currently the only way to perform this kind of search is to start creating a filter and sort by "Hardware > System Serial Number > Contains". The left hand menu bar has many different items, options, dashboards, etc. It would be nice to have a search bar at the top of it all which would show you different menu items as you start typing it. For instance, if you started typing the word "patch" it would bring up Patch Management without you having to go through and find the option manually. WHM from cPanel does this very well.
This one has been an obvious problem for years, but I'll resubmit ot in the new system anyway. N-Central simply can't scale up with large amounts of schedueld tasks running in one job. This is because the outputs aren't in any ideal sorted order (and can't be changed), you can't filter on the columns to reduce the amount of tasks, or search against the task output content to find the task outputs you are looking for. ...more »
When I log into N-Central, I enter at the SO level with our company name in the orange box at the upper left of the screen. I frequently search for a specific company by clicking in that box, and typing the company name that I would like to enter, rather than scrolling through the entire list of companies. Some customers don't use naming standards that indicate the purpose of a device. It would be nice to be able to tag devices so we can filter on them and search for them.

Be able to include/exclude customers from the main entry and be able to search with different options such as text, e-mail address, ticket number, ticket number range, status, priority, due date, assigned to, etc this would help if we are focusing on a particular customer or wish to exclude them from the current list displayed and be able to better prioritize our workload a bit.
