In the traffic service, you are required to enter the speed of the interface (Service Details/Upload Speed/Download Speed) in order for the bandwidth to be correctly measured. But since this value is present in OID .22.214.171.124.126.96.36.199.1.1.15, why don't N-central set the value automatically from that OID, which will remove any risk of miscalculating in the measurement of bandwidth. Also the value gathered from 188.8.131.52.184.108.40.206.1.5 ...more »
I"d like to support to others printer devices like BROTHER, EPSON, SAMSUNG to printer portfolio on net devices check. Not only PING check, but TONER LEVELS, and others. Thanks a lot.
I have any clients with BROTHER prints. I'd like to control TONER LEVELS, for example, on SNMP check. And if possible too save on SNMP portfolio (predefined checks).
Unfortunately it looks like HPE no longer allow the performance counters to be used by the agent, performance checks for HPE gen 10 servers therefore don't work. Being able to monitor the performance is essential to RMM and for any of us maintaining servers, although I respect HPE have caused the issue here it either needs to be pursued with them further or an alternative method found. Going forward with customers who ...more »
Remote access URI is used as a second IP for remote connectivity currently, if we can change it to a second IP then monitoring as well as remote connectivity can be done through this. I would like this as a feature since we monitor SonicWall devices on our N-Central server and we need to monitor if the interfaces go down. If one interface goes down then we cannot monitor the SonicWall via that IP, and that is why we need ...more »
We need a feature that we can create custom monitoring services and add them to machines without the need for a probe. EG: Monitoring a SonicWall's interfaces via SNMP through the public IP address. The reason I would like to request this feature is that we currently use PRTG and Cacti for monitoring networks, but these don't satisfy the simplicity of looking at a N-Central dashboard as well as the fact the notifications ...more »
Hewlett Packard Enterprise Generation 10 servers no longer support System Management Homepage or Insight Management Agents. To monitor these servers with N-able you have to use a second professional license on the iLO port. We need a solution to be able to monitor new HPE servers using only 1 license. This will benefit all customers that purchase/use new HPE servers.
I would like to import vendor MIBs and apply them to custom SNMP services to produce more useful results from SNMP queries.
When creating custom SNMP services, I would like to be able to map descriptions/values to the returned SNMP results. For instance, if a SNMP query returns values of 0, 1, or 2, I would like to configure the service to display: "Disabled", "Down", "Online". This way we can immediately know the actual status of the service without having to go lookup the SNMP MIB manually.
I would like for the N-Central probe to be able to run SNMP SET commands and for these to be save as a script type object that can be run on demand or integrated into healing processes. Healing processes need to be to run the SNMP script against third party devices. For example, if I have a PoE powered wireless access point or security camera, if the connection service shows the device to be down, then I would like it ...more »
On devices with Gigabit/s ifspeeds, the Traffic service is applied instead of Traffic 64, causing false alerts based on 'Outgoing Bandwidth Utilization (%)" (and Incoming) thresholds expecting Megabit/s speeds. N-central auto-applies templates and the Traffic service, causing me to have to customize the template or adjust thresholds manually. N-central should autodetect the myriad Gigabit Interfaces and correctly assign ...more »
At this moment, N-central is configured to get the asset information for a default device class on a specific place on the device. Because of this the asset tab on these devices has a lot of information. But for devices where no default device class exists, the asset tab on these devices is mostly empty. For example: Eaton UPS, HP storage boxes, … I think that it’s an innovative idea that you can specify which SNMP OID ...more »
At the moment you are able to monitor a lot of different systems through snmp checks but not the Intel Raid Storage Controller this would be a great addition to the dashboard.
Thank you for your consideration.
Discovery Agent send many querys via snmp. But some devices means: this is a DoS attack. In time of attacks this would be very helpfully.
Actually QNAP NAS means over 300 packets / second -> DoS attack.
Please made this querys manageable.
Thanks a lot.
At the moment you are not able to properly manage your saved SNMP templates. When using SNMP checks for multiple RAIDs with different OIDs you have to create a new SNMP template each time. This creates a lot of repetitive manual labor that would not be needed if you were able to just copy & paste an existing template and do small adjustments afterwards (ex. just changing the OID) instead of having to create a new check ...more »
