When a URL or IP address is blocked by Web Protection, I would like it to show more information on the local device so a better decision can be made regarding whitelisting the site. An example of information included would be if an IP address is registered to a company, i.e. Google, DropBox, etc. I would like that information to be displayed in the block recorded in the taskbar on the local device, and when searching ...more »
View the workstation that are in a web protection policy.
Short URLS (e.g. tinyurl.com, x.co and many more) are being commonly used to disguise full URLs to phishing websites and fool end users.
I would like a web protection category to block these short URLs.
Whenever we use a browser on iOS devices to access N-Central we have issues selecting customers from the drop down list. We also have issues selecting any options from other drop down lists in N-Central often not being able to actually select them.
Some clients use industry specific software for example automotive clients use Mitchel Shop management software. We don't have a list of sites that need to be unblocked. I think it would be helpful to have a mode that we enable for web protect that watches what we are going to do and adds those sites to the white list, when done we stop the "Learn Mode" This specific client wants all non-work related web traffic ...more »
It appears that there is no way to separate (different IP Address or Port) "Agent Data" from "WebGUI Management". Because of the high risk a compromised N-Central server poses to all of us and our clients there should be a simple way to isolate the WebGUI Management interface while maintaining the ability to collect Agent data across the Internet.
Add a in software feature request option (to ideas, tickets or something), inside N-Central. Make sure they are managed by the Administrator of MSP/Customer, but allow techs that use the product to submit feature requests and bug reporting from within N-Central. You should be able to gather more information about the issue at this point. Am I wasting my time entering these? How can we better promote these ideas. ...more »
As a customer, I would like the ability to flip the Filtering Order so that the Whitelist trumps the Blacklist.
I would like to set this up so that I can blacklist top level domains such as *.science that have a high risk of abuse and then whitelist individual sites as the need arises.
When entering IP addresses in Web Protection whitelist or blacklist, have a "Notes" field associated with the entry to keep info about the IP, why it was whitelisted/blacklisted, website it is associated with, etc. This is vital when whitelisting IPs of CDNs or other backround IPs used by certain websites. Otherwise this info has to be maintained elsewhere, or not maintained at all. Would be useful for URLs as well, to ...more »
When adding an internationalised URL to whitelists or blacklists in Web Protection, the non-English characters are automatically removed. Instead the URLs should be automatically converted to their IDNA counterpart. E.g. If entering verktøy.no it will be automatically changed to verkty.no. Instead it should be automatically converted to its IDNA counterpart xn--verkty-fya.no Due to the way all browsers handle traffic ...more »
we would like to see the known IPs of Locky Servers and the like (which one is being pointed towards in the logic cards every once in a while) to be auto blocked by Web Protection so you do not have to manually adjust all of your protection policies everytime a new IP is being added to the list.
Web monitoring should record time stamps when a site is visited and this data should be available in the web monitoring report > report builder. It would be good to see what sites are being visited when.
