Allow us to execute commands, scripts, without the client being aware of anything. Sometimes we would prefer this over remote desktop or Take Control. Competing products have long offered this and it is a compelling and powerful feature.
The Agent should checking whenever the service starts. This would ensure that we know as soon as systems are back online, rather than having to wait for the next scheduled checkin period.
At the moment when rebooting a workstation it stays 'offline' in the dashboard for a long time rather than instantly reporting they are online.
We really need to be able to auto approve patches for a particular vendor or product. For instance, auto approve all patches for Adobe products or auto approve all Java patches. Right now we can only choose to auto approve ALL non-microsoft patches that fall into a specific severity (critical, important, etc).
We need a way to apply a template to a workstation AFTER install time. I have over 100 workstations, with different states of services and checks. I don't want to manually delete all the checks, and then add them back one at a time. I would like to take the current install template and just 'push' it to a current workstation. In my opinion, the dashboard is hardly branded. If I send clients to my FQDN, which is a CNAME pointing to the dashboard.systemmonitor.us, they have to use unencrypted http, or their browser will throw a certificate error. In either case, this is a bad practice for security. The alternative is to send them to https://dashboard.systemmonitor.us. In the workstation &/or server area of Dashboard. When a computer is selected, Why can't you add a tab called "Asset Information" that we could click on that would give us the Asset Information for that particular computer? Currently, we can give a client a gobal dashboard access user account for all of their sites, which is important. However, in a more distributed environment, it would be helpful to give other site admins credentials for a particular site or sites. This would stop junior technicians being able to mess with Servers or certain customers or if we had multiple locations ourserlves we could share a dashboard with our branch office and have all of the customers in one place but restrict technicians at the branch office from accessing servers/workstations managed by the head office.
Much needed - would like to be able to select multiple workstations / locations / clients and run bulk actions ie:
- Clear all check
- Clear all Quarantine
- Reboot all
- Approve all patches
Neither the agent for MAX RM, nor the dashboard support uploading an MIB-file and extracting the OID's from it. There is always need for some external 3-rd party tool. It would be nice to support this out of the box.
Reports are about showing the value of the service to the customer. As IT business owners we need to automate as much as possible.
