Reports are about showing the value of the service to the customer. As IT business owners we need to automate as much as possible. I would like to see automated monthly reports that contain all the other reporting mechanisms like workstations, patch management, remote support, automated task report, device hardware/software inventory, bandwidth/performance etc. This way the customer can see everything the service does ...more »
Need to have the concept of "templates" for automated tasks that work similar to the monitoring templates. Would like to be able to create a new site using a template that applies at least 10 or 12 different automated tasks configured in a template, so you don't have to add them all manually. You should be also able to apply a template to an existing site and merge those tasks with any tasks already created.
It would be nice to have a One time schedule, for scheduling for example a reboot or a script to check if a program is installed or similar.
The 3 script in Automated task should all be included the option to shutdown (and restart) after complition of tast.
Defrag, Clean event logs and clean temp. files.
The reason for this is if you want performed these maintenance jobs have to let her worksation turned on after hours. If you do not want it so must be on all night or even a week-end, the shutdown switch could provide closure and thereby save power.
Would be great if the built-in defrag automated task had an option to skip systems with an SSD. These mechanisms should not be regularly defragmented and currently we need to remember to disable the site automated defrag task on any systems we deploy with an SSD.
Make it easier to program automated tasks with scripts.
Under Monitored Workstations - Automated Tasks, there should be the ability to enable an Alert (email or SMS) when an Automated Task fails. Currently when a workstation automated task fails, the workstation does not show up in the "All Problem Workstations" view. The only way to see a status is to (daily) check each client workstation list for a Red X. An alert option would be very useful.
When an automated task fails to complete a red X appears on the Dashboard, as with other types of failures.
There is, however, no way to acknowledge this and clear the indicator.
It seems that it will appear there forever!
Please provide us the means to acknowledge this and clear the indicator.
Most important about back-up software is knowing u can restore. Would it be posible to have a scheduled "random" restores. The idea is to have an automated system which test the restore, and reports on this restores. Benefits: - Recovery is tested on a regular base (issues will be identified before a real case occurs). - There is more reporting on the actual restore speeds, which makes it easier for a partner to act ...more »
I want to be able to run and control some scripts (including the periodic scripts) and would like to be able to run and schedule these just like what you can with the Windows machines. Also for downloading of branding, support files, and so on.
Allow scheduled shutdown as well as reboot from the dashboard. This would help when companies have workmen coming in before our support hours that require the power to be turned off.
I would really like to have the ability to set alerts, automated tasks, and auto-remediations at a global level and not just at a site level. This seems really basic and has been used by all the RMMs I have seen/used. I think these should also be rolled into the monitoring templates that govern the checks.
