When a customer ever stops using our monitor or MSP services, we need to uninstall the agent from their PCs. 1. This is a good practice for keeping things clean. 2. We don't want competitors who may follow us to find out what technology we're using. They need to build their own businesses themselves. It would be very helpful in these situations, if the agents would auto-uninstall themselves after we have deleted a client, ...more »
Allow us to execute commands, scripts, without the client being aware of anything. Sometimes we would prefer this over remote desktop or Take Control. Competing products have long offered this and it is a compelling and powerful feature.
I would like the ability to explore a computer's file system, transfer files back and forth, add folders, and delete without interrupting the user.
Enable support for Powershell in remote command shell,
so we can remotely do infinite actions better then old dos commands,
and install software with http://chocolatey.org (now works, but sometimes goes in error)
It would be great if there were more flexible options for remote control within GFI Max. For example, we might want to license Team Viewer separately for all of our remote support needs (on the fly support, meetings/presentations), and it would be really great if we could use our own Team Viewer 7 license integrated with GFI Max instead of the bundled Take Control version of Team Viewer. It would also be nice to have ...more »
Remote Background needs privileged access to be useful. Without it there is no way to uninstall apps (using WMI) except using another vendor's tools. There is little that can be done at the non-admin command prompt that can't be done in other ways. What is the logic of not allowing administrative privilege at the Remote Background command prompt? Granted, other tickets are open on this subject, but they don't include ...more »
Currently, it is possible to edit a department and "enable dept view-only dashboard access" which is great when clients request remote access to their office computers from home using GFI Max. However, you can only setup one login, which defeats the purpose of auditing if the client has multiple folks remoting in with one login/password. One of the main reasons I use logmein more than GFI Max is the ability for my clients ...more »
It would be nice to utilize the Teamviewer Custom Quick Support for customers that are remote. This could replace remote support.
Team Viewer or Max needs to have some way of telling the the support tech whether the user is actively using the Workstation before we remotely connect. For example LogMeIn Pro before remote connection gives the tech the information "The host computer keyboard and mouse have been inactive for 1 days" Can this be accomplished in Teamviewer or GFI so the technician knows whether they are taking over a machine in use or ...more »
It'd be very nice if there was a Mac-compatible site installer and remote worker installer package as there is for Windows.
With 100s of workstations to add to GFI MAX, it's a real difficulty to require us to go from machine to machine registering each with the site.
I can already deploy the installer over Remote Desktop, but can't automate the registration.
Integrate with the registered version of Teamviewer, so that my custom agent with my logo is used instead. This way security updates and other features are available faster and I have full Ipad functionality now, instead of later.
It can be annoying when a user has closed the Team Viewer from their system notification tray, as this prevent us from getting on. The only ways around is to (1) reboot the machine, (2) ask the user to launch Team Viewer from the start menu or (3) hop on to the machine using VNC to launch Team Viewer. Can I suggest that you either allow us to control whether the icon can be closed or to relaunch after a short duration. ...more »
Show a pop-up window confirming the tech has disconnected from the session. We often stay connected accidentally or the client wants to be sure we are disconnected. We usually close the blue pop-up window showing that "So and So has Connected" remotely, but we also need a confirmation saying when we've DISconnected. Allow the End User to disconnect if desired. All other remote tools have this functionality. Also ...more »
Use new icon to show when a laptop is not connected to its home network; in other words, when the laptop is connected to the Internet through a remote location. This would provide quicker visual indication of which laptops are not on their home network and potentially aid in approaches used for maintenance tasks. The only way to do that now is to check the IP address under Asset Tracking which is more time-consuming. ...more »
This would be a great feature. With so many people using laptops, tablets, and phones away from the office there is a big security risk. If a laptop was stolen or in the hands of a disgruntled employee, to be able to wipe the hard drive or at the very least be able to lock it down would be awesome.
