Currently, we can give a client a gobal dashboard access user account for all of their sites, which is important. However, in a more distributed environment, it would be helpful to give other site admins credentials for a particular site or sites. Since user credentials must be unique, I can already see a problem if a particular admin has responsibility for more than one site. So, if the suggestion makes sense to implement, ...more »
We have some customers that have several pcs but no Servers at a site. Some pcs cannot browse internet (but can do HTTPS) so the GFI Max agent works fine. However, Managed Antivirus cannot update without a Site Concentrator. Please allow workstations to be used as a site concentrator for managed antivirus. (Note: Vipre Enterprise and Symantec both allow workstations to act as the central server for update distribution. ...more »
For larger environments, it would be much more efficient to be able to create a Site Installation Package that contained the installation files for all of the components - not just the Agent. The package could be put in a network share and all systems could run the setup from the local share. That would save all of the time spent waiting for the components to download and install on the individual systems. It would also ...more »
Allow for notes to be added against a client or site. Notes for things like wireless network keys for a location or client specific notes would be helpful
It would be great to have the ability to Right Click on an Entire Site & have Some Options?
Ability to rerun DSC daily safety checks on entire site if needed.
Add a Note for The Entire Site.
Edit the Site.
Maybe some Reports for the Site?
Maybe take control of a device you deemed most important at the site?
Because patch management policies are defined at the site level, I frequently need to define more then one site even though the systems are on the same LAN.
While the idea of the check is nice to have, there should at least a single alert being send, which indicates this Site being down instead of just a little icon notification in the dashboard.
After introducing partial support for sites into n-central quite some time ago, support for customers/sites was removed or never actually added in filter previews and reports.
I am told that for a report or filter to include the customer/site instead of just a device name, a feature request needs to be created because Solarwinds consider this to be by design.
Most of our clients do not do Windows servers.
It would be helpful to allow their Linux boxes to be site concentrators.
This seems like an easy one - can we get this soon?
Make it so that patches can be staged. This way we know when scheduling patch installs that it won't take an hour to download the files necessary to install the patches, but that the patches will begin installing at that time. VMware has a similar function which is very useful.
The site concentrator needs to have bandwidth throttling (like backup manager) so you can set a time of day that you don't hog resources.
We need a way to download BD MAV to do a standalone installs for sites with low bandwidth like you can download the agent software. MAV install consumes to much bandwidth to be successful doing push installs on many computers with sites with low internet bandwidth.
