I notice that the DSC hacker check is able to report on the number of attempts that have occurred over the past 24 hours. However, it would be nice that the hacker check would show a summary of what user name(s) caused the authentication or login failure and associate that account with the number of attempted failures Also, it would be nice to see what time the failures have occured during the day. This would be ...more »
currently if i want to change the 24x7 frequency check interval or DSC run time for multiple devices, i have click on each individual workstation or server and make the modification manually. this is ideal for working on on few devices at a time, but currently i have a need to change over 190 workstations 24x7 frequency intervals, but find the manual method will take too long. there should be a global or group option ...more »
I suggest you... create a Windows Phone 8 app that allows an administrator to view or edit settings within the GFI Max RMM utility. Even the ability to clear alerts or schedule tasks, or even restart services.
The Microsoft Windows 8 GroupPolicy service (gpsvc) does not run all the time on Windows 8 so the service check will fail often. The agent should check the OS and adapt the GroupPolicy Service check to a Windows 8 compatible way.
in addition to the daily safety check, it would be nice to see the complete backup results of a job, even if the job completed successfully, rather than just see complete.
likewise if the job had failed or is incomplete, it would be nice to see the results of the job, such as why the job failed or is incomplete, such as no media available, or specific users files are open
Windows 8 may not be prominent in the business place and may never be but should still show as windows 8.
Currently reports as "Microsoft Windows 7 Business Edition, 64-bit (build 9200)"
please include a button to make it possible to restart a misbehaving Windows service with one click. At the moment the only way to do it remotly without TakeControl is to crate an automated task for one machine only. That means of course that you have to disable the automated task management via the site. And you have to remember to reenable this at the end of the day...
I love the new systen tray application, however, I dont like the exit button on the context menu, This only allows for users to quit the app inadvertantly which should not be a possibility. Also would be good if the app was given a friendly name as opposed to "systray.exe". Although I dont belive its possible with windows 7 would be good to assign the notification area behaviour to "show icons and notifications" so that ...more »
There is a known issue with Kerberos and WIndows Server 2008 R2/Windows 7 and Server 2003 domain controllers: http://blogs.technet.com/b/instan/archive/2009/10/12/changes-in-default-encryption-type-for-kerberos-pre-authentication-on-vista-and-windows-7-clients-cause-security-audit-events-675-and-680-on-windows-server-2003-dc-s.aspx This trips the hacker alerts on the domain controllers, and the only options are to either ...more »
We would like MAX RM's MDM solution to support Windows phones alongside Android and iOS mobile devices
Currently, when installing the agent max will automatically add the Windows Defender antivirus checks.
These checks should not be added when the agent is also configured to deploy MAV. When MAV is deployed, Windows disables Sefender and we are left with the failing checks that have to be deleted manually.
Generic antivirus installed/up-to-date check using Windows Security Center or Action Center
