The Agent will alert if the average committed bytes is greater than the physical RAM (non-configurable).
As per help system, I am unsure why this is but would like to be able to set this threshold.
I am glad that Veeam is now supported as a check but I would like the check to be a bit cleverer. We use Veeam to do off-site backups over vpn, on some surprisingly bad connections. One of the features of Veeam is that it will retry failed jobs and only retry the servers that it failed to backup in the original job. The backup check for Veeam does not seem to be clever enough to recognise this as it doesn't recognise ...more »
Today I must have had 10+ alerts saying:
The test Managed Antivirus Check failed.
Additional information : No communication from Managed Antivirus Agent
This needs to be fixed, if the gfi agent only checks in every 5\15min then it makes no sense for the MAV communication to check and alert at a higher frequency than this.
All alerts received were false positives from sites and servers operating as expected.
I would like for the keyboard cursor so move down the list of devices in the dashboard. Presently, when the down cursor is pressed when a device is highlighted in the device pane and the checks tab is open, the focus changes to the checks pane and subsequent presses moves down the checks. When the summary tab is open and this is attempted it functions as I would expect (moves down the device list). The idea being that ...more »
The automated task for AD users is good but could be a lot better. At the moment there is no "account disabled" query which I would like to see, this would make this feature immensely more valuable (I have been using the user account control attribute query which gives a numeric value but this then requires explanation to the client) Alternatively, a report builder might be nice so custom ldap queries can be created\used. ...more »
This is a bit long winded to explain but here goes: If you have MOB configured to backup a network share and that network share becomes unavailable, MOB will report "completed with errors" and if you have the check configured as default then you will not be alerted by the dashboard that there is an issue. This is an issue with MOB rather than the dashboard as if MOB interpreted a backup location being offline as a failure ...more »
At the moment, if you set a local password on the customized teamviewer installed by the gfi agent when you have take control enabled and want to use this to give access to someone they can only use it for 5 minutes. Probably not very well explained but often I would like to give access to a computer to a 3rd party for various reasons and using teamviewer is not possible the way it works at the moment so I have to ...more »
Either by selecting multiple computers or via a site automated task.
This is a much needed feature that many other AV vendors provide.
Primarily, I am a member of this community to collect badges (and as an afterthought to help improve gfi products) but it seems that badges are not enabled for the gfi community and I have been wasting my time!
Just look at the lurid assortment of badges that are being held back from us:
Vote yes to badges!
Agent(s) are heavily modified and generally not the current GA release from Vipre or IASO. It is a good idea that release notes are maintained for the agents included in MaxRM within the help section, this would help people keep abreast of any features/functions that may help (or possibly impact) clients. Currently, there are only release notes for the actual MaxRM agent and not its feature modules which is insufficient. ...more »
Although the GFI MAX agent installs and seems to work on Server Core installs, none of the Modules work - take control, MAV, MOB and patch Management. If these are not supported on Server Core then we may miss out on opportunities and clients may look elsewhere, please add support for them. Especially MAV and Patch Management (I know some people argue that AV is not a requirement on Server Core but most major vendors ...more »
In asset tracking, in the individual hardware items (eg motherboard) it shows a count for the number that particular hardware.
When you click the count column header to sort by quantity it doesn't put it in numerical order, please can you fix this. not sure what it is doing but is definitely a bug. will attach picture so that you can see what Im talking about.
