It would be nice if there were an ability to set a Automation Manager variable per-client, and then have the Automation Manager use that variable. For example, let's say you wanted to use Automation Manager to set a DNS server for each client statically, but wanted different clients to use different IP addresses. I think it'd be nice if you could go into the dashboard, edit a client, and maybe under the tab of "Executive ...more »
I have some tasks that I'd like to run immediately on any new machine that's being onboarded. This might include things like creating a new admin account, deploying some settings, or installing some software. Templates allow you to have tasks automatically added to new machines that are added to an organization, along with all the normal scheduling options. So I can set a task to run every day at a certain time, and ...more »
It would be helpful to be able to associate additional metadata to different objects in the RMM. This is a very broad concept, but just to give a simple example: We have an account manager per client. It would be nice if there were someplace in the client to put the account manager's name, so that when I pull information from the API, I could pull the account manager for each client. As it is, I have to try to store ...more »
You added CloudBerry backup checks a while backup (http://ideas.solarwindsmsp.com/a/dtd/Add-Cloudberry-as-Backup-Check/236646-4178), but the check only works for "Cloudberry Managed Backup". If you have the normal edition of Cloudberry, it says "Product not found".
I'd like to see a conditional that allows you to see if a user account is a member of a specific group. To give a simple example, I want to create an automation that will run on a regular basis, that will: * Check to see if a user exists. If not, create it. * Check to see if that user has the right group membership. If not, add it to the proper groups. * Reset the password. If I do that now, I can't check to see ...more »
Right now, when you remove a script from a device on LogicNow, the actual script file remains on the machine. It would be good if it actually removed the script file from the endpoint.
LogicNow added a really nice feature a while back where, if the network scanner detects that there's a Windows device on one of the client networks, you can try to push an agent to it. Unfortunately, the UI for doing this is a little clunky. It requires that you find the device on a particular network, then select it, and attempt to push it. Then you have to go to the "Activities" tab and keep an eye on it to see ...more »
I'm not sure the best way to work this into the UI, but it would be nice to be able to create reports on the devices found in the network scan that do not have agents. To give a specific example, I might want to know when a Windows computer that does not have an agent installed pops up on one of our client's networks. I might want to know this for security reasons, i.e. "A suspicious computer showed up on this network. ...more »
On a fairly regular basis, I find myself wanting to make sure that some script is run on every machine we have, or every machine at a client. I basically need to be able to run a task or a check once (not recurring). And then I really need a way of gathering a report of: * Which machines it ran on, but returned an error? * Which machines it has not yet run on? (either because the machine is offline, or because the check ...more »
I've had some problems that I only notice occasionally, but for example, an agent where the patch management check simply never runs. It doesn't report an error because it never runs, but it's effectively broken. Another example is that I've had agents where no checks appear to be applied. I don't know how it happened, but when you select the agent in the dashboard, the checks that are supposed to be applied according ...more »
It's not too uncommon for us to have a client who puts laptops or other workstations into storage for extended periods of time. For example, some clients have spare/loaner laptops, or a couple extra desktops they keep in storage as a replacement in case one of their desktops fail. These machines may be offline for months at a time before being put into use again. I hate to keep these machines live, both because it ...more »
I would love to see support for Single Sign-On solutions (e.g. Okta, OneLogin).
By that, I'm not talking about having LogicNow have tools to administer SSO accounts, but to be able to log into the LogicNow RMM Dashboard using one of these SSO providers. Even if there's no support for provisioning or anything, managing our various service accounts using SSO makes things substantially easier.
