Monitoring Templates are useful to push out specific checks to devices, especially on new device installations. However if we change our Monitoring Template, we need to go and apply them to all the devices they are intended for again, and overwrite any changes. This is tedious. We would like to see an option to link a Monitoring Template (or something similar) to a device like a Policy for a feature, so that when we ...more »
It is great that we can monitor network devices through the new Network Devices tab.
However when a check on this tab fails, the device doesn't show on our wallchart.
We would really like to have these devices show on our wallchart (and have the option to show or hide these device types - same as servers and workstations) so we can look to resolve them proactively instead of reactively.
In the latest 10.8.0 RC agent, the new Patch Management Engine doesn't have any service checks. However on the local device, there are RPC and Cache Services, which are required to be running for Patch Management to work. We need to have the RPC and Cache Service checks for Patch Management included as part of the Patch Management Feature, so that we can effectively monitor when scans will fail or not complete because ...more »
Currently, Managed Antivirus updates definitions over HTTP.
This is not secure.
We need definitions to be updated over HTTPS to make sure we are using best security practices.
A limitation of Powershell is that it will only return the Host stream when called as an exe (Powershell.exe -nologo -noprofile -noninteractive .\script.ps1). There is a workaround for this: https://rkeithhill.wordpress.com/2009/03/06/effective-powershell-item-14-capturing-all-output-from-a-script/ Redirecting all the output to a file will output the following Powershell streams: write-host write-output write-verbose ...more »
Currently, the Managed Antivirus (BitDefender) scan has a default Archive Depth level of 16. This means that occasionally a scan will take longer than usual due to a new file which has a multilayered complex archive bomb (archives within archives recursing) has been introduced to the local device. I would like to have an option in the Managed Antivirus policy to control the Archive Depth of a scan. This will mean that ...more »
Currently the configuration of Notifications on the local Managed Antivirus console is to either have them all on, or all off. I would like to have granular notification options in the Managed Antivirus policy for BitDefender. For example: I don't want to get notified when a USB stick has been inserted and detected I do want to get notified of Antivirus Definition updates and scan results Any notification categorisation, ...more »
Some of the inbuilt system script checks will pass if "No Data Available" is returned. This message means that the script has not returned any information, however it has not returned an exception error code either. This could mean that the script is not working as expected here, based on the provided parameters, yet we don't know about it (since the check is passing). We would like an option to fail a script check ...more »
We are being billed for inactive devices that are inactive for 30 days or more. As more and more devices are added to our dashboard, we don't want to have to manually comb through these devices to remove them before they go 30 days inactive. There is a section under Settings > General Settings > Workstations, where inactive workstations can be removed automatically after inactivity. However the minimum day value you ...more »
The Customise actions section in Mail Assure is really powerful and allows us to customise the filtering to our individual requirements. However there is something we are missing. At the moment, Accept and Notate will prepend to the subject whatever is in the "Beneficial to train notation" field under Filter settings. Some messages we would like to notate with a custom notation that is not in the "Beneficial to train ...more »
In standalone Backup & Recovery, if you have a device ID connected to a Recovery Console as well as the original machine it was installed on, you have the option to launch the Backup Manager on either device by selection. In RMM, this is not the case. If you link up the Backup ID to a Recovery Console and click Open Backup Manager in RMM, that sometimes opens up the Recovery Console's Backup Manager instead of the original ...more »
Mac has a Microsoft RDP Viewer available on the AppStore:
It would be great to have the ability to RDP from a Mac device to a Windows device through MSP Anywhere RDP Tunneling.
