The usable automated task 'add user to local group' does not have any failure conditions, so if it is returning an error it would still show up as successful in the dashboard with no indication that it failed whatsoever. We contacted SolarWinds Support and this was their message: "I downloaded the script and had a look and there does not look to be any failure conditions. Currently there is no way to change that on ...more »
Resellers usually have loads of end-customers who employ some kind of cloud service on their system, like google drive, onedrive, dropbox etc. Usually these are just mounted and not actually on the device, so if you try to back up these files you'd get error messages like "access to the cloud file is denied". It would be handy if these files were automaticly excluded, or if there was an option to exclude these files ...more »
Imagine the following situation: You're working in a network where a proxy is in use. You're working with a notebook because your work requires you to be mobile. You're also carrying work related documents which change daily on your NB. Your work requires you to backup your files and folders on a daily routine to make sure no data loss will harm sales and / or productivity. Unfortunatey as it is now it's not viable ...more »
We would like to see an implementation of a taskbar icon which acts as a shortcut to the backup manager.
Through this icon a pop up could appear indicating a backup has finished.
Clicking on this pop up would lead to the browser being opened with the URL http://localhost:5000
At the moment - if you want to exclude a file or a folder - you have to either keep local settings or have to set a global exclusion for all devices with the same profile.
We would like to define individual exclusions for devices under the same profile.
Hi there, a few partners wish to have a report/feature about their backup checks (i.e. acronis) and their history, for the time being they have to check the error history to see whether a backup was completed successfully or failed. We imagine a backup DSC check would simply flag a day as green, and the backup report would graphicly display if the DSC completed or failed (with green or red). This would simplify partners ...more »
Our partner would like to see what kind of scan ran in the local UI (BitDefender). At the moment you're only able to see the full context as to which kind of scan ran when you select/highlight "Scan Started", which is slightly inconvenient. They would like to see the full scan method in the list, this would come in handy if you have several quickscans running and want to confirm that a deep scan was started. Thanks. ...more »
Hey there, currently when you enable backup reports for Managed Online Backup / Backup & Recovery, you get mails which return machine and device name, which is info that you cannot work with, considering there are many similar devices with a similar name. It would be easier to identify and assign the report to a device in your dashboard if you received info from which device (client/site/device) this report originates, ...more »
A client suggested using a siteconcentrator from a different site (which - although being in a different site - is in the same network).
Many clients are using different sites to inherit different settings, e.g. patchmanagement settings.
Currently you have to configure a site concentrator for each site. It would be handy to have concentrators eligible if they're present in the same network.
It would be great to be able to configure the availability of restorable sources.
A reseller wants the end-users to be able to restore files and folders only,
although systemstate and some possible network shares are selected aswell.
Please let us disable IP whitelisting for specific users.
While there are many of us who agree that IP whitelisting is generally a good idea to enhance security, it is not-so-well implented for the most part in Germany.
We have many customers who do not have static IPs and thus would need to re-confirm their location / IP **frequently** .
As you'd imagine this hinders working with MSP RMM.
