When transferring all tasks from one probe to another (and especially when deleting the source probe), it would be helpful if the source probe's discovery jobs were also reconfigured to be run from the new probe, instead of being deleted out of existence.
It would be great to be able to filter on devices that have Direct Support enabled.
It would be nice if the window around the remote session were automatically resized so that the window / chrome fit tightly around the remote session. If you connect to a server with a different resolution than the last, there can be huge amounts of black unused space around the remote session. This would be nice, since it wouldn't be up to the technician to manually resize the window to find the best fit around the remote ...more »
There is some great monitoring available currently for Windows Windows Server Failover Clusters in N-Central. However, one blind spot it has is the monitoring of Cluster Shared Volume usage (used space and free space). This is critical to monitoring, because if the Cluster Shared Volume fills up, all of the VM's in the cluster will stop working.
In most modern web browsers, CTRL + TAB cycles between open tabs. This is broken in the N-Central All Devices view, and some sub-views of Device Details, when using Google Chrome. Instead of switching to the next open tab, N-Central overrides the keyboard shortcut and cycles between tabs within the web GUI, trapping keyboard navigation within the N-Central tab. This completely breaks workflows that depend on CTRL + TAB ...more »
The existing Windows Server Failover Cluster (WSFC) services are great, but I would like to see an additional one that will report on the total, free, and percentage free space in any Cluster Shared Volumes.
Default device classes include "Workstations - Windows", "Laptops - Windows", and "Workstations - Mac", but no "Laptops - Mac".
This would improve PSA Integration, when exporting devices. Our PSA differentiates between Laptops and Desktops, but we have to turn device export off for "Workstations - Mac", because it classifies Mac laptops as desktop class devices in our PSA.
Currently, remoting into a switch via N-Central is done via Java, which is clunky, and doesn't always work well. MSP Connect has a really powerful (and really under-appreciated) port forwarding feature. I would love to see this feature integrated into N-Central for switch remote access, so that the connections can be initiated via the MSP Connect agent via an onsite probe rather than Java when choosing to remotely connect ...more »
It would be nice to have a "Speed Test" service applicable to servers that measures Internet download and upload speeds, maybe at 10 - 15 minute intervals, so that this data could be reported on over time.
Hi there, Currently, it is not possible to set the time until a custom SNMP service is considered "Stale." This can create a confusing situation where all built-in services on a device are reading "Stale", while the custom services still report "Normal." Please allow us to adjust the time to Stale on custom SNMP services, or reduce the time from the current default, which keeps the service in a Normal status for several ...more »
I'm told from Solarwinds MSP Support that Linux devices can only be monitored from either the Local Agent or a Windows-based probe. It would be better to have the ability to monitor the system using both at the same time. For example, monitor CPU and processes via the local agent, while monitoring Uptime and other features via a probe, and / or allow SNMP monitoring from the Local Agent.
I would like N-Central to include the ability to filter based on operating system version. Windows 10 version 1511 is reaching EOL on October 10th, 2017. In order to help clients identify what systems needed to be upgraded, I was going to create a new Filter for Windows 10 machines running version 1511 (version 10.0.10586) However, the filtering rules currently don't allow the ability to filter on operating system ...more »
