It'd be helpful to be able to create a filter to show devices with 'update monitored address' not enabled. We can turn it on, but there's the possibility of it getting missed. Or a tech puts in a new computer and doesn't enable it. Or someone disables it (for whatever weird reason). We can filter for the 'Local IP' monitor not being on a device, but of course a device that has 'Local IP' doesn't necessarily mean that ...more »
When an agent is uninstalled, it looks the same as if the computer is turned off.
It'd be nice if when an agent is uninstalled if it provided a separate error to NCentral so that we could tell the agent is offline because someone uninstalled it from add/remove programs.
When a Take Control chat window is popped out of the corner there is a place for the technician's picture. Currently this picture is not able to be set with Take Control through N-Central.
It'd be nice if the picture was able to be set, or if the blank spot was not there in the N-Central version of Take Control so it does not appear to clients that we have lazily not configured it.
When Take Control has not checked in and you hover over the remote control button, it displays:
A Take Control heartbeat has not been received from this device. The latest heartbeat expired ###### seconds ago.
It's fairly useless when that number is anything considerably high. It'd be nice if it automatically switched it to minutes or hours after certain time thresholds are passed.
Under Configuration-Security Manager->Quarantine Management you have the list of files quarantined and you can choose to delete or restore the files.
It would be very helpful if you could "restore and add to exclusion" in one shot. A pop-up comes up and provides the option to add it to process, file or folder, or network path etc.
Currently the 'missed executions' options for scheduled tasks allows you to run it as soon as possible if the device is offline at the scheduled time. This doesn't work, for example, when it's something you don't want running during normal business hours, such as a full AV scan. (Think slow computers that need replacing). It would be nice to have the option to try the scan again the next day at the same scheduled time. ...more »
From my understanding, when automatic approval rules are manually run they run in the background. We add them in at times to solve PSv2 errors for one reason or another. Currently there is no way to know if the rule completed running, so it would be nice to be able to receive a notification when the rule has finished running.
We have some devices that absolutely should not be remoted into during certain hours, or that changes should only be made to outside of certain hours. It would be nice to be able to set a field under the device->Remote Control Settings->Take Control that has a note field which upon connecting the note pops up on the tech's screen to let them know or remind them of the special circumstance.
It'd be nice to have an option during agent install to auto-delete the agent executable after install.
